Hi everyone, I’m Lorentm — a passionate digital artist — and I’m incredibly happy to welcome you once again to my art blog. Today I’m sharing a special monochromatic illustration based on one of the adorable characters from @holozing. As always, it’s such a joy to be inspired by their universe.
This drawing is part of the Zingtober event hosted by @holozing — today is Day 16, and the prompt is Blunder. The moment I read that word, I immediately imagined Miu Miu committing her most classic mistake: the eternal, inevitable fish-hunting disaster.
Miu Miu has always fascinated me; she’s this grumpy yet irresistibly charming little feline with a wild mane and a warrior spirit. I had so much fun exploring her expression — that perfect balance between royal indignation and absolutely soaked embarrassment.

Este dibujo forma parte del evento Zingtober organizado por @holozing — hoy es el Día 16, y la palabra clave es Blunder. Apenas la leí, imaginé a Miu Miu en su error más clásico: el desastre inevitable de querer atrapar peces.
Miu Miu siempre me ha fascinado; es esta gatita gruñona pero irresistiblemente encantadora, con una melena salvaje y espíritu de guerrera. Me divertí muchísimo explorando su expresión — ese equilibrio perfecto entre indignación real y absoluta vergüenza empapada.
Estoy muy emocionada de compartir esta obra con la comunidad de @holozing, y profundamente agradecida con @acidyo y @holozing por apoyar continuamente mis creaciones.
In this monochrome artwork, we see a drenched and completely offended Miu Miu sitting right outside the fish tank — evidence of her miscalculated leap still dripping onto the table. Her fur is soaked to the last strand, sticking dramatically, emphasizing her frustration. Her eyes say everything: pride shattered, but dignity still stubbornly intact.
The fish inside the tank are hilariously untouched — calmly swimming as if they’ve already declared victory. The contrast between the fearless predator and the smugly safe prey is what gives this scene its charm. There are no accessories or clothing on Miu Miu — her character shines entirely through her fluffy, chaotic mane and fierce feline attitude.
En esta ilustración monocromática vemos a una Miu Miu empapada y completamente indignada, sentada justo afuera de la pecera — con evidencia de su salto mal calculado aún chorreando sobre la mesa. Su pelaje está mojado hasta el último mechón, pegado con dramatismo, reforzando su frustración. Sus ojos lo dicen todo: orgullo destruido, pero dignidad firmemente intacta.
Los peces dentro de la pecera permanecen intocables — nadando tranquilamente como si ya hubieran ganado la batalla. El contraste entre la depredadora valiente y la presa relajada es lo que le da encanto a la escena. Miu Miu no lleva accesorios ni ropa — todo su carácter brilla a través de su melena caótica y su feroz actitud felina.
Process / Proceso
I began with a loose sketch, focusing mainly on capturing the expression — the glaring eyes and furious posture were essential. Keeping the composition clean was important since the story needed to read instantly even without color.
Then I refined the lineart, defining each dripping strand of fur with intention. I wanted the texture to feel heavy and soaked — almost as if her fluff had temporarily given up. Every contour reinforced attitude and movement.
For the coloring phase, I embraced a strictly monochromatic approach in honor of Inktober — working only with grayscale values to bring depth and balance while preserving that classic ink illustration spirit.
Next came the shadows — carefully layered to emphasize volume, weight, and the wet, clinging fur texture. I focused especially under her paws and tail where water gathers.
Then I added subtle highlights — the shine of the wet fur, reflections on the glass, shimmering water puddles. These tiny accents brought life into the scene.
Finally, I built the background simply — soft tones, a grounded table surface, and minimal distractions so that all attention remains on Miu Miu’s dramatic disaster moment.
Comencé con un boceto suelto, enfocándome principalmente en capturar la expresión — los ojos fulminantes y la postura furiosa eran esenciales. Mantener una composición limpia era importante, ya que la historia debía entenderse al instante incluso sin color.
Luego pasé al delineado, definiendo cada mechón de pelaje empapado con intención. Quise que la textura se sintiera pesada y mojada — como si su pelaje hubiera perdido momentáneamente su dignidad. Cada contorno reforzó la actitud y el movimiento.
Para el coloreado, abracé completamente el enfoque monocromático en honor a Inktober — trabajando solo con valores de gris para dar profundidad y equilibrio, respetando ese espíritu clásico de ilustración entintada.
Después apliqué las sombras — cuidadosamente para enfatizar volumen, peso y esa textura de pelaje mojado y apelmazado. Me concentré especialmente bajo sus patas y cola donde se acumula el agua.
Luego añadí los brillos — el reflejo del pelaje mojado, el vidrio de la pecera, los charcos relucientes. Estos pequeños acentos dieron vida a la escena.
Finalmente, construí un fondo simple — tonos suaves, una mesa firme y sin distracciones para que toda la atención permanezca en el momento dramático del desastre de Miu Miu.

Creating this piece was incredibly fun — I adore dramatic characters, and Miu Miu is the perfect muse for chaos, pride, and comedy all at once. Zingtober continues to be such an inspiring challenge, and I can’t wait to keep exploring more prompts.

- Capacitive pen (Stylus).
- Ibis Paint X program.
- Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.
