Today, I’m so excited to share with you my latest digital artwork inspired by one of the characters from @holozing. I wanted to bring to life the essence of the female light healer, a serene and gentle character that radiates calmness even in the darkness.
When I started this piece, I felt deeply connected to her tranquil energy. There’s something magical about her expression—a mix of innocence and determination—that made me want to capture her in a moment of quiet beauty. Working with monochromatic tones allowed me to focus on the atmosphere rather than color, enhancing the glow of the fireflies surrounding her.
The female light healer, in my mind, represents hope and healing. She moves softly through the night, gathering light to bring warmth to those who have lost it. As I drew her holding the jar filled with tiny shining fireflies, I imagined her collecting pieces of light to share with others.
I’d also like to thank @acidyo and @holozing for continuously supporting my art and for providing such inspiring events like Zingtober that bring the community together in creativity.

Hoy estoy muy emocionada de compartir con ustedes mi más reciente obra digital inspirada en uno de los personajes de @holozing. Quise dar vida a la esencia de la female light healer, un personaje sereno y gentil que irradia calma incluso en la oscuridad.
Cuando comencé esta pieza, me sentí muy conectada con su energía tranquila. Hay algo mágico en su expresión, una mezcla de inocencia y determinación, que me motivó a capturarla en un momento de belleza silenciosa. Trabajar con tonos monocromáticos me permitió concentrarme más en la atmósfera que en el color, realzando el brillo de las luciérnagas que la rodean.
La female light healer, en mi interpretación, representa la esperanza y la sanación. Se mueve suavemente a través de la noche, reuniendo luz para brindar calidez a quienes la han perdido. Mientras la dibujaba sosteniendo el frasco lleno de pequeñas luciérnagas brillantes, imaginaba que recolectaba fragmentos de luz para compartirlos con los demás.
También quiero agradecer a @acidyo y @holozing por apoyar continuamente mis obras y por ofrecer eventos tan inspiradores como Zingtober, que unen a la comunidad a través de la creatividad.

The character’s attire is elegant and modest, with flowing sleeves and fine details that suggest both strength and purity.
The scene represents a moment of quiet wonder. The fireflies floating around her add a magical touch to the composition, creating a sense of peace and light within the monochrome palette. Through this piece, I wanted to highlight the contrast between darkness and hope—the way even a small source of light can make a night feel alive.

Sostiene con suavidad un frasco que brilla con luciérnagas capturadas, mientras su sonrisa se ilumina con su delicada luz. Su cabello largo y liso cae con gracia, con mechones que parecen moverse con la brisa de la noche. La vestimenta del personaje es elegante y modesta, con mangas amplias y detalles finos que reflejan tanto fuerza como pureza.
La escena representa un momento de asombro y calma. Las luciérnagas flotando a su alrededor añaden un toque mágico a la composición, creando una sensación de paz y luz dentro de la paleta monocromática. A través de esta pieza quise resaltar el contraste entre la oscuridad y la esperanza, mostrando cómo incluso una pequeña fuente de luz puede hacer que la noche cobre vida.
Process / Proceso
I began with a rough sketch, focusing on the composition and pose. My goal was to capture a serene and balanced posture that reflected the healer’s calm personality. The sketch stage is always where I allow myself to explore freely, adjusting proportions and experimenting with how the character interacts with the environment.
Next came the line art. This part is where everything becomes clearer and more defined. I refined the lines to make them clean and expressive, paying special attention to her face and hands—the parts that convey the most emotion.
Then, I moved on to the base tones. Since this piece is monochromatic, I worked carefully with shades of gray, ensuring that each area had enough contrast to stand out while maintaining harmony. This step is crucial to setting the overall mood.
After that, I added shadows to give depth and form. I wanted the light from the fireflies to be the main focus, so the shadows were soft and directional, creating a gentle transition between light and dark.
The highlights came next, and they are always my favorite part. The glow from the fireflies and the subtle reflections on her hair and dress made the scene feel alive. It’s in this moment that the drawing starts to “breathe.”
Finally, I worked on the background. The night sky dotted with stars and the silhouettes of grass completed the atmosphere. It’s simple but effective, allowing the character to remain the centerpiece while enhancing the sense of calm and wonder.
Comencé con un boceto general, enfocándome en la composición y la pose. Mi objetivo era capturar una postura serena y equilibrada que reflejara la personalidad tranquila de la sanadora. En esta etapa me permití explorar libremente, ajustando proporciones y experimentando con la interacción del personaje con el entorno.
Luego pasé al delineado. Aquí todo se vuelve más claro y definido. Refiné las líneas para que fueran limpias y expresivas, prestando especial atención al rostro y las manos, las partes que más transmiten emoción.
Después trabajé los tonos base. Como esta pieza es monocromática, utilicé cuidadosamente diferentes grises, asegurándome de que cada área tuviera suficiente contraste sin perder armonía. Este paso es clave para establecer el ambiente general.
A continuación, añadí las sombras para dar profundidad y forma. Quise que la luz de las luciérnagas fuera el punto principal, así que las sombras fueron suaves y direccionales, creando una transición delicada entre la luz y la oscuridad.
Los brillos fueron el siguiente paso, y siempre es mi parte favorita. El resplandor de las luciérnagas y los reflejos sutiles en su cabello y vestido dieron vida a la escena. Es en este momento cuando el dibujo comienza a “respirar”.
Finalmente trabajé el fondo. El cielo nocturno lleno de estrellas y las siluetas del pasto completaron la atmósfera. Es simple pero efectivo, permitiendo que el personaje siga siendo el punto central mientras refuerza la sensación de calma y asombro.

Creating this artwork for Zingtober’s Day 23, with the keyword “Firefly,” was a beautiful experience. It reminded me how light, even when subtle, can transform the simplest moments into something magical. I feel grateful to share my interpretation of the female light healer with the @holozing community and to be part of such an inspiring creative journey.

- Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.
