Hello everyone! I’m Lorentm, a digital artist, and I’m very happy to welcome you once again to my art blog. Today, I want to share a special digital piece inspired by one of the characters from @holozing. I’m thrilled to be part of this creative community and even more excited to participate in this year’s Inktober event organized by Holozing, called Zingtober. For day 29, the prompt was “Lesson,” and I wanted to portray a tender yet meaningful scene between Fally and Fal.
As I worked on this piece, I felt deeply connected to the theme of learning and guidance. The bond between these two bird characters reflects not just a lesson in flying, but also a moment of trust and growth. It reminded me of how every artist learns to spread their wings through patience and practice.
Fally, with her strong and protective presence, represents experience and wisdom, while Fal embodies innocence and curiosity. Together, they form a dynamic duo that captures the essence of mentorship and courage.

¡Hola a todos! Soy Lorentm, una artista digital, y me alegra darles la bienvenida una vez más a mi blog de arte. Hoy quiero compartir una obra digital muy especial inspirada en uno de los personajes de @holozing. Estoy emocionada de formar parte de esta comunidad creativa y aún más feliz de participar en el evento de Inktober de este año organizado por Holozing, llamado Zingtober. Para el día 29, la palabra clave fue “Lesson”, y decidí retratar una escena tierna pero significativa entre Fally y Fal.
Mientras trabajaba en esta pieza, sentí una profunda conexión con el tema del aprendizaje y la guía. El vínculo entre estos dos personajes alados representa no solo una lección de vuelo, sino también un momento de confianza y crecimiento. Me recordó cómo cada artista aprende a desplegar sus alas con paciencia y práctica.
Fally, con su presencia fuerte y protectora, simboliza la experiencia y la sabiduría, mientras que Fal encarna la inocencia y la curiosidad. Juntas, ambas figuras transmiten la esencia de la enseñanza y el valor.

The scene captures the moment when Fally spreads her wings wide, guiding Fal from the edge of a cliff as the sunlight bathes them both. The intensity in Fally’s eyes shows determination, while Fal’s expression reveals both awe and uncertainty. The two stand atop a rocky ledge, surrounded by a glowing sky that suggests hope and courage.
Every detail of their feathers was designed to convey emotion. Fally’s plumage is layered and powerful, showing the strength of a mentor, while Fal’s smaller and smoother feathers emphasize vulnerability and youth. There are no accessories or additional elements in this piece; the simplicity of the characters allows the emotions to take the spotlight.
La escena captura el momento en que Fally extiende sus alas con fuerza, guiando a Fal desde el borde de un acantilado mientras la luz del sol los baña a ambos. La intensidad en los ojos de Fally refleja determinación, mientras que la expresión de Fal muestra una mezcla de asombro e inseguridad. Ambos se encuentran sobre una roca elevada, rodeados de un cielo luminoso que transmite esperanza y valentía.
Cada detalle de sus plumas fue diseñado para transmitir emoción. El plumaje de Fally es denso y poderoso, mostrando la fuerza de una mentora, mientras que las plumas más pequeñas y suaves de Fal acentúan su vulnerabilidad y juventud. Process / Proceso
The process began with the sketch. I started by outlining the main poses of Fally and Fal, focusing on their posture and expressions. I wanted the body language to clearly show the mentor-student dynamic, even before adding any detail.
Next came the line art, where I carefully refined the shapes and defined the feathers, giving them a sense of motion. The clean lines helped capture the energy of the scene and gave each character their own distinct silhouette.
Then I moved to the coloring stage, even though this piece is monochromatic. I chose different shades of gray to establish depth and tone. This limited palette challenged me to convey light and emotion through contrast rather than color.
Once the base tones were ready, I added shadows to bring volume and realism. The darker areas under Fally’s wings and along the cliff edge emphasize the direction of the light, making the composition more dramatic.
Afterward, I applied highlights to specific spots, like the tips of the feathers and their eyes. These small touches brought life and focus to the illustration, creating a sense of light reflecting from the setting sun.
Finally, I worked on the background. The soft, cloudy sky and bright sun serve as the emotional backdrop to the lesson scene, symbolizing both challenge and enlightenment.
El proceso comenzó con el boceto. Empecé delineando las poses principales de Fally y Fal, centrándome en sus posturas y expresiones. Quise que su lenguaje corporal mostrara claramente la relación de mentora y aprendiz, incluso antes de añadir detalles.
Luego pasé al delineado, donde afiné las formas y definí las plumas, dándoles una sensación de movimiento. Las líneas limpias ayudaron a capturar la energía de la escena y dieron a cada personaje una silueta única.
Después avancé al coloreado, aunque esta pieza es monocromática. Elegí distintos tonos de gris para crear profundidad y matices. Esta paleta limitada me desafió a transmitir luz y emoción mediante el contraste en lugar del color.
Una vez que las bases tonales estuvieron listas, añadí sombras para dar volumen y realismo. Las zonas más oscuras bajo las alas de Fally y a lo largo del borde del acantilado refuerzan la dirección de la luz, haciendo la composición más dramática.
Posteriormente, apliqué brillos en puntos específicos, como las puntas de las plumas y los ojos. Estos pequeños detalles aportaron vida y enfoque a la ilustración, creando la sensación de una luz que se refleja desde el sol.
Finalmente, trabajé en el fondo. El cielo suave y nublado, junto al sol brillante, sirven como telón emocional de la lección, simbolizando tanto el desafío como la iluminación.

Creating this piece was a meaningful and inspiring experience. The theme “Lesson” reminded me that every creation is itself a lesson in patience, imagination, and growth. Watching Fally guide Fal felt like illustrating a moment of hope and trust — something that every artist, including myself, experiences throughout their creative journey.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to share this with all of you and deeply thankful to @acidyo and @holozing for their continued support of artists like me. I hope this artwork inspires others to keep learning, flying higher, and embracing every challenge as part of the artistic adventure.
Crear esta pieza fue una experiencia significativa e inspiradora. El tema “Lesson” me recordó que cada creación es en sí misma una lección de paciencia, imaginación y crecimiento. Ver a Fally guiar a Fal fue como ilustrar un momento de esperanza y confianza, algo que toda artista —incluyéndome— vive a lo largo de su camino creativo.

The tools I used for the drawing were the following:

- Capacitive pen (Stylus).
- Ibis Paint X program.
- Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.
