Hello everyone! My name is Lorentm, and I’m really excited to welcome you to my art blog today. I’ve been looking forward to sharing this piece with the amazing @holozing community. This artwork is part of this year’s Zingtober event, and for Day 9, the keyword is “Heavy.” For this prompt, I decided to illustrate the male Light Healer, a character full of strength, courage, and determination.
As soon as I saw the keyword, I knew exactly what I wanted to create. The Light Healer has always had this heroic and slightly stubborn energy to him, which made him the perfect character to bring to life in a powerful and intense moment. This drawing is also inspired by that iconic scene from Dragon Ball Z where Goku struggles to lift the Z Sword. I wanted to capture that mix of effort, grit, and fiery determination.
Working on this piece made me feel a strong connection to the character. I imagined the weight of the sword, the burning muscles, and the cold sweat of giving everything in a single moment. It’s in those moments of pure willpower that heroes are forged, and I wanted the illustration to reflect exactly that.

¡Hola a todos! Soy Lorentm y estoy muy emocionada de darles la bienvenida a mi blog de arte el día de hoy. He estado esperando con muchas ganas compartir esta obra con la increíble comunidad de @holozing. Este dibujo forma parte del Zingtober de este año, y para el noveno día, la palabra clave es “Heavy”. Para este reto decidí ilustrar al Light Healer masculino, un personaje lleno de fuerza, valentía y determinación.
Desde que vi la palabra clave, supe exactamente lo que quería crear. El Light Healer siempre ha tenido esta energía heroica y un poco obstinada, lo que lo convirtió en el personaje perfecto para plasmar en un momento poderoso e intenso. Este dibujo está inspirado en la escena icónica de Dragon Ball Z donde Goku lucha por levantar la Espada Z. Quise capturar esa mezcla de esfuerzo, coraje y determinación ardiente.
Trabajar en esta pieza me hizo sentir una conexión fuerte con el personaje. Imaginé el peso de la espada, los músculos en tensión y el sudor frío de darlo todo en un solo instante. Es en esos momentos de pura voluntad donde nacen los héroes, y quise que la ilustración reflejara precisamente eso.

The male Light Healer is depicted in a moment of pure determination. His long, flowing hair frames his intense expression, while beads of sweat slide down his face. He’s gripping a massive sword with both hands, visibly struggling to lift it, which adds a powerful sense of weight and tension to the scene. His eyes are narrowed, his brows furrowed, and every muscle in his arms and torso is engaged, showing just how heavy that blade truly is.
His outfit combines both practicality and flair. He wears a long coat that moves with the wind, a dark shirt with a cross-like symbol on the chest, and fingerless wristbands that add a touch of warrior spirit to his design. His pants are simple yet functional, fitting for someone who fights on the frontlines. The background features rocky cliffs and a surreal sky with two moons, creating a setting that feels otherworldly and epic, matching the strength of the character’s struggle.
El Light Healer masculino aparece en un momento de pura determinación. Su cabello largo y suelto enmarca su expresión intensa, mientras gotas de sudor recorren su rostro. Sostiene con ambas manos una enorme espada, visiblemente esforzándose por levantarla, lo que aporta a la escena una poderosa sensación de peso y tensión. Sus ojos están entrecerrados, el ceño fruncido y cada músculo de sus brazos y torso está en tensión, mostrando lo pesada que es esa espada.
Su atuendo combina practicidad con estilo. Lleva un abrigo largo que se mueve con el viento, una camiseta oscura con un símbolo en forma de cruz en el pecho y muñequeras sin dedos que le dan un toque guerrero. Sus pantalones son sencillos pero funcionales, ideales para alguien que lucha en primera línea. El fondo muestra acantilados rocosos y un cielo surrealista con dos lunas, creando un ambiente épico que complementa perfectamente la fuerza del momento.
Process / Proceso
I started this piece with a loose sketch, focusing mainly on the pose and the feeling of effort. I wanted the sword to feel massive, almost overwhelming, so I exaggerated its size slightly to give the composition more drama. The character’s stance and facial expression were crucial at this stage to convey intensity.
Comencé esta obra con un boceto suelto, concentrándome principalmente en la pose y la sensación de esfuerzo. Quise que la espada se sintiera enorme, casi abrumadora, así que exageré un poco su tamaño para darle más dramatismo a la composición. La postura y la expresión facial del personaje fueron fundamentales en esta etapa para transmitir intensidad.
Once the sketch felt right, I moved on to the line art. Clean and dynamic lines helped define the character’s silhouette and the flow of his hair and clothes. I paid close attention to his hands and arms since they’re the focal point of the strain and weight he’s experiencing.
Cuando el boceto estuvo como quería, pasé al delineado. Líneas limpias y dinámicas ayudaron a definir la silueta del personaje y el movimiento de su cabello y ropa. Presté mucha atención a sus manos y brazos, ya que son el punto focal de la tensión y el peso que transmite.
Coloring came next. Even though the final piece is in grayscale, I treated the tones carefully, layering them to create depth. I chose mid and dark tones to emphasize the mood of the scene, like a storm before a great battle.
Luego vino el coloreado. Aunque la obra final es en escala de grises, trabajé los tonos con mucho cuidado, superponiendo capas para crear profundidad. Elegí tonos medios y oscuros para enfatizar el ambiente de la escena, como una tormenta antes de una gran batalla.
Adding shadows was where everything truly came to life. Strong, directional shading accentuated the strain in his muscles and the heavy atmosphere around him. The sword’s weight became almost tangible through the shadows cast across his body.
Al agregar las sombras, todo comenzó a cobrar vida. Las sombras fuertes y direccionales resaltaron la tensión en sus músculos y la atmósfera pesada que lo rodea. El peso de la espada se volvió casi tangible gracias a las sombras proyectadas sobre su cuerpo.
Highlights were subtle but essential. I added them on his hair, the sword, and a few parts of his clothing to create contrast and bring more focus to his intense expression and the metal of the blade.
Los brillos fueron sutiles pero esenciales. Los apliqué en su cabello, en la espada y en algunas partes de su ropa para crear contraste y dirigir la atención a su expresión intensa y al metal de la hoja.
Finally, the background tied the entire composition together. The rocky cliffs and dual moons gave the drawing an epic and otherworldly feel, setting the stage for the Light Healer’s powerful struggle.
Finalmente, el fondo unió toda la composición. Los acantilados rocosos y las dos lunas le dieron al dibujo una sensación épica y de otro mundo, creando el escenario perfecto para la intensa lucha del Light Healer.

Creating this piece was an incredibly fun and meaningful experience. I loved the challenge of conveying so much emotion and weight through a single pose. The Light Healer is such a strong and inspiring character, and I feel proud of how the drawing turned out.
