Today, I went to the bazar with my mother. We woke up early, and after a quick breakfast, we headed out. The bazar was busy, filled with people bargaining for fresh fruits, vegetables, and all sorts of goods. The air was filled with the aroma of spices and street food. My mother knew exactly where to go. She picked out the ripest tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and fresh coriander while I helped carry the bags. As we walked around, we also stopped at the stalls selling colorful fabrics and handmade jewelry. My mother chatted with the vendors, and I admired the beautiful trinkets.
We even took a break to enjoy some warm, crispy pakoras from a food stall. After shopping for all the essentials, we decided to head home, our bags full and spirits high, with the satisfaction of a productive and fun day spent together.
Today I decided to make a character of holozing community. I make digital art of zingu.
So lets start making it:
This is the original character:
PROCEDURES:
Start by draw a small oval shape for the head at the top of screen. For the beak, draw a small triangle pointing downward between the eyes. The tip of the beak should be slightly curved.
Draw two big, circular eyes near the top of the head. Inside each eye, draw a smaller circle, leaving a tiny white spot to give the eyes a shiny look. I give a cute accessory like a hat.
Add a few lines near the top of the head for some small details, fluffy texture. On each side of the body, draw a small curved "L" shape to represent the flippers. They should be short and round, keeping in line with the character, chubby look. I also add a scarf.
For the body, draw a larger oval beneath the head, keeping the shape a bit wider towards the bottom, like a teardrop shape. Draw a slightly curved line from one side of the body to the other to create a small, round belly. This part will be white in most, so you can leave it blank or lightly sketch it.
At the bottom of the body, draw two small, oval shapes slightly angled outwards for the feet. Then, add three small triangular shapes on each foot to create the toes.
COLOURING:
Color the pupils of the eyes completely black, leaving a small white circle or oval inside each one to create the "sparkle" effect in the eyes.
Color the beak with the bright yellow. It should be bold and vibrant to contrast with the rest of the body.
Colour the hat with light beautiful colours.
Using a dark grey color, color the majority of the body, leaving the belly area blank for now.For the belly, use white. Fill in the space between the flippers and down the center of the body, leaving it bright and clean. I can shade lightly around the edges of the belly to create depth, especially at the top near the neck. For the feet, use a bright blue color. Color the toes and the bottom of the feet to make them stand out. The bright color will contrast nicely with the dark body.
Color the flippers with the same dark grey color I used for the body. I can shade a bit on the inside of the flippers where they curve to add depth.
Color the back and sides, leave some areas around the neck with soft colours. I also colour the scarf.
Now my character is all colored in and ready to waddle around in style!
Now I add the sign which is on the forehead.
I use colour that complement the zingu for background. Light sketch the background elements like ice floes , snow or ocean waves.
This is the final look of my character.
I hope you like it.
