Dibujo a color de Glimmo con bigote y sombrero.
Today I’ll be redrawing—this time in color—one of the drawings I made for Zingtober. I’ll be redrawing the piece from day one, which was based on the prompt Mustache. I’ll be using IbisPaint to draw, and I’ll use the original ink drawing I made as a direct reference. I’ve been really wanting to color this one.
Hoy voy a estar redibujando—pero a color—uno de los dibujos que realicé para Zingtober. Estaré redibujando el dibujo del día uno, cuyo prompt fue Mustache. Lo estaré dibujando usando IbisPaint, y utilizaré el dibujo a tinta original que hice como una referencia directa. Tenía muchos deseos de colorear este dibujo.
This is how the drawing for day one of Zingtober turned out. Now it’s time to make it digital, taking advantage of the versatility that digital tools offer.
Así quedó el dibujo del día uno del Zingtober. Ahora es el turno de hacerlo digital con la versatilidad que tienen las herramientas digitales.
We lower the opacity and begin with the first line that will become part of our drawing.
Bajamos la opacidad y comenzamos con la primera línea que formará parte de nuestro dibujo.
After a while drawing lines, I now have them all done. I won’t be drawing the grass this time—I’ll add it later directly with color.
Después de un rato dibujando líneas, ya las tengo todas realizadas. No estaré haciendo el pasto en esta ocasión, lo haré más adelante directamente con el color.
First, I applied the orange color to the character’s skin.
Primero di el color naranja a la piel del personaje.
I did the same with each part of the drawing, using its corresponding color.
Hice lo mismo con cada parte del dibujo con su respectivo color.
I applied some light shadows using Multiply in the darker areas of the drawing.
Apliqué algunas sombras ligeras con Multiplicar en las zonas más oscuras del dibujo.
I also added some highlights using white and softened the shadows a bit so the transitions wouldn’t be too harsh.
También di algunas luces con blanco y difuminé un poco las sombras para que la transición no sea tan dura.
I did the same on the other parts of Glimmo’s body.
Hice lo mismo en las demás partes del cuerpo de Glimmo.
The last thing I’ll do on the character is carefully color and detail the monocle area.
Lo último que haré en el personaje es colorear bien y detallada la parte del monóculo.
I’ll place the character on a blue background so it stands out even more.
Colocaré el personaje en un fondo azul, para que resalte aún más.
Now it’s done—I added the grass beneath our character, with a few blades sticking out and a solitary daisy.
Ahora sí, hice el pasto sobre donde está nuestro personaje, con un poco de hierba que sobresale y una margarita solitaria.
And that’s it! After a few final touches, our drawing is complete. Thank you for joining me for another day of drawing.
