Holozing is an upcoming creature capture role-playing game on Hive that is still in development. Today a major milestone was reached. Alpha Vials (packs) which went on sale some time ago can now be opened. Note that the items in the Vials will not yet be on chain NFT’s. Though the items will be viewable from your in-game account on the Holozing website under Inventory.
The Alpha Vials cost $20 apiece that can be paid in Hive or HBD. Around 3800 have sold so far.
A while back I purchased 20 Alpha Vials. Maybe I went a little overboard spending that much money on a game that is still in development. I own about 0.5% of all Vials that have been sold. Most of the people I know on Hive have only bought like 1 or 2. At least I have gotten a lot of Zing rewards by holding the Vials so I have made some of the money back.
Each Vial enables you to use the Holo Cube which reveals a Starter Creature and various items that will be used in game. Here is what the cube looks like when it is closed.
What's Inside the Vials
You are guaranteed to get a Starter Creature in each Vial. There are four Starter Creatures so you have a 25% chance of getting a particular one. Their names are Infurno, Wrackoo, Walle and Zappit.
They are each a different type as there are four types in Holozing – fire, grass, water, and electric. Each stat associated with a creature can be uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, or holo.
There are various other items you can get that will be useful in the game once it is released. They include things like capture cards, gloves, bicycles, and backpacks.
Opening My Vials
I opened my first Vial and did not understand how to view the cards so I closed it before I could get a screenshot. I am use to the card packs in Splinterlands and Rising Star where you click on the back of the card and it flips over. For these vials, once the cube is open you are viewing the cards from the side. Here is what an opened cube looks like:
You need to click on the side of the card to reveal it.
Anyways time for me to get to the openings starting with my second Vial!
Vial #2
For my Creature I got a Zappit with one Epic stat. It looks like all my items are Epic.
Vial #3
My Creature in this vial was a Wrackoo with two Epic stats. Most of my items are Epic.
Vial #4
I got a Walle with one Epic stat. Wow I got some capture ammo that is Holo rarity! My first Holo rarity item.
Vial #5
I got a Wrackoo with only Uncommon and Rare stats. Most of my items are Epic.
Final Thoughts
I managed to get a Holo rarity item. However, I did not get any Legendary or Holo stats in any of my creatures. But you cannot expect too many of those since the chances of those are less than 1%. Most of the items I received were Epic which was good luck.

Most of my things are in epic rarity as well haha. It feels like the common rarity is epic xd.
