Greetings, friends! I hope you are all doing well.
Today I want to share with you a portrait of my favorite Holozing healer, Forest Healer.
I think many of you have already noticed and recognized the main reference for this illustration.
Johannes Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, or by its original name Meisje met de parel, is not considered a traditional portrait, but rather a “tronie.” This Dutch term refers to a type of painting that does not seek to capture a person's identity. But in this case, we are looking for a fusion between that painting and Forest Healer, a kind of reinterpretation in my anime style.
I wanted to adjust the anime style to traditional painting, as I did in the previous painting.

Well, this sketch is easy to do; it's one of the poses I practiced a lot. Later on, I'd like to share my sketchbook with you.
Now that we have the basic shape, we can sketch it in red, keeping the reference painting in mind. In my version, I wanted to give her a more innocent look. Another detail is that I didn't add the blue part of the scarf because it would cover her green hair, and I feel that this is part of the forest healer's identity. Instead, I added her forest headband.
With the sketch ready, all that's left is to do the line art in black. I thought about changing the brush, but I feel like it would vary too much from the other work, and I want this to be a kind of mini collection.
Bueno, este boceto resulta fácil de hacer, es de las poses que practique muchísimo, mas adelante me gustaría compartir con ustedes mi cuaderno de bocetos.
Bien con la forma base ya podemos hacer el boceto en color rojo, teniendo muy en cuenta la pintura de referencia. en mi versión quise darle una vista un tanto mas inocente, otro detalle es que no le agregue la parte azul de la pañoleta pues taparía el cabello verde y siento que esto es parte de la identidad de la sanadora del bosque, en su lugar agregue su cintillo del bosque.
Con el boceto listo solo queda hacer el lineart en color negro, pensé en cambiar el pincel pero siento que va a variar muchísimo de la otra obra, y quiero que esto sea una especie de mini colección.
We applied the base color. For this, I used the personal color palette that I have at least on my skin. On the rest of the body, I used similar colors, trying to ensure they weren't too saturated, or we would ruin the antique oil painting vibe.
Aplicamos el color base, para esto usé la paleta de colores personal que tengo al menos en la piel, en el resto del cuerpo use colores similares y tratando de que no fueran tan saturados o romperíamos la vibra de pintura de óleo antigua.
For the background, blur it a little and apply a very light noise filter. It's barely noticeable. I thought about applying it with the canvas brush, but if I did that, I would have to do it on the rest of the color layers... maybe another time.
In this work, we have a light source from the left side, and we also have a beautiful contrast between the background and the character's skin.
After blurring the skin, I wanted to touch it up a little more and subtly add some pink lipstick.
Para el fondo difumine un poco y aplique un filtro de ruido muy ligero. Apenas se nota. Me paso por la mente aplicar con el pincel de lienzo, pero si hacía esto tendría que hacerlo en el resto de las capas de color... tal vez en otra oportunidad.
En esta obra tenemos una fuente de luz desde el lado izquierdo, también contamos con un hermoso contraste entre el fondo y la piel del personaje.
Después de difuminar la piel quise retocar un poco más y agregar sutilmente un labial rosa.
We applied the rest of the details following the same logic of light coming from the left.
I wanted to avoid very bright colors, but I did want to highlight the yellow strands of hair to make this part stand out from the rest of the work.
Aplicamos el resto de detalles siguiendo la misma lógica de la luz proveniente de la izquierda.
Quería evitar colores muy brillantes pero en los mechones amarillos del cabello si pues quería resaltar esta parte del resto de la obra.
It's time for the small details and corrections.
I added subtle shades of blue to the pearl, although they are not noticeable at first glance, as well as a little shine.
I applied a blue lace design to the scarf with a special brush.
And finally, I worked on the eyes and eyelashes. This part is what brings the whole drawing to life, which is why I left it until last.
Es momento de los pequeños detalles y correcciones,
le di pequeños tonos azules a la perla aunque a primera vista no se notan, también un poco de brillo.
En la pañoleta apliqué un diseño de encaje azul con un pincel especial.
Y para finalizar trabaje en los ojos y pestañas, esta parte es la que le da vida a todo el dibujo, por eso lo deje para el final.

I wanted to mention that this time it took me longer than expected because I had to do some drawings that my niece asked me for, “some pop warriors” or something like that.
Even so, I was able to finish and devote the necessary time to this work.
For a change, the next illustration will not be based on traditional art, so we can avoid it being so monothematic.

Quería comentar que en esta oportunidad me tarde mas de lo esperado, tuve que hacer unos dibujos que me solicito mi sobrina " unas guerreras del pop" o algo asi.
Aun así pude terminar y dedicar el debido tiempo a esta obra.
para variar un poco la próxima ilustración no será con referencia al arte tradicional asi evitamos que sea tan monotemático.
