It does have all that but I need more control on certain areas so I can use that for certain situations. For eg i only used smudge tool at the end of Zingu's body. If I were to use moving blur either the whole body will be blurred or if I combine it with lasso and select the end of the body there will be like a cut off which I need to smoothen out so smudge is better in this instance.
if i were in your shoes i would duplicate the layer, do the blir then just erase the overlay that didn't quite fit my taste and vision because I'm lazy like that 🤣🤣 but you have a mastery of the lasso tool so i think this way works great for you
Actually I did this on my latest splinterlands entry lol. I do that sometimes to make a quick effect. I forgot about it xD.
I still prefer smudge though. All you have to do is just create a brush stroke and it'll emulate a smudge like you see in traditional method. It's super convenient and easy to do.
Exactly! The stroke direction is very important. One other reason why I hate using blur is that the thing makes the whole app lag. My tab is low end so yeah.
You should totally try the smudge tool. Although I can't say how it functions on other apps though.
well the smudge tool on gopaint acts more like a blender brush than anything so I may need to optimise it to get that motion dynamic i can get from the blur tools tbh. hut it's worth a shot cuz gopaint is very very similar to procreate so i feel like they'll have the same smudge effect
really? doesn't your software have a gaussian blur tool? or a dynamic blur? i know some softwares have that now

good point 🤔🤔 you just have to make sure the stroke direction aligns. maybe I'll try exploring this one of these days
