Yes, we'll be using the Inktober calendar to create fan art inspired by the Holozing universe. Today we're doing Day 2 with the prompt “Weave” (which means to knit or intertwine in Spanish). Here we go!

Sí, estaremos usando el calendario de Inktober para crear fan arts relacionados con el universo de Holozing. Hoy estaremos haciendo el Día 2 con el prompt Weave (en español significa tejer o entrelazar). Allá vamos!
My drawing is inspired by swimmer Tom Daley, a British Olympic champion known both for his diving and his passion for yarncraft. It was wonderful to see him during the competition, weaving peace into every stitch, threading silence through the rhythm of his hands. And of course, our protagonist could only be our Ocean Healer—ready to dive in, but first focused on his stitching. I really loved this idea and the blend of concepts; I believe it captures the prompt perfectly.
Mi dibujo está inspirado en el nadador Tom Daley, un campeón olímpico británico conocido tanto por sus clavados como por su pasión por el tejido. Fue genial verlo durante la competencia y cómo entreteje paz en cada punto, hilando silencio con el ritmo de sus manos. I started with a simple sketch of the pose and changed the type of yarnwork to one using two needles and a ball of yarn, to better match the prompt. And although it no longer resembles our Ocean Healer at all, trust the process as I continue adding more details.

And so the final sketch is done—now it's time to pick up our fine brush for line art, a brush I made myself, and begin drawing the final lines of our piece. Watching the elements take shape and come to life is always a magical part of the process.

Now that the line art is ready, it's time to start coloring. I have to admit I'd love to make a full-color version of this drawing, but since we're following the official Inktober rules, we'll stick to a black-and-white color scheme. For that, I divided the piece into three main tones—highlights, shadows, and midtones—then added more layers using different blending modes. But as I always say, an image is worth a thousand words, and an animation more than two thousand, so I’ll leave you with a timelapse of the entire drawing process. By the way, the final waves were done using a textured brush. The entire piece was created entirely in Photoshop.
Bueno, ya tenemos el line art listo, ahora es tiempo de colorear. Tengo que confesar que me gustaría hacer una versión de este dibujo a full color, pero como estamos siguiendo solo las reglas del Inktober propuestas, utilizaremos un solo esquema de color blanco y negro. Para eso dividí en tres tonos principales: luces, sombras y medios tonos, a los que fui agregando más capas con distintos modos de fusión. Pero como siempre digo, una imagen vale más que mil palabras y una animación más que 2000, los dejo con una animación de todo el proceso de dibujo. Por cierto, las olas del final las hice utilizando un pincel texturizado. Todo el dibujo fue realizado completamente en Photoshop.
