Greetings Holozing Community. I've been in love with their characters and the fanart that the Hivers make for a long time. I was really looking forward to starting to make digital illustrations, but I still don't have the confidence to do it. I feel more secure drawing on paper. So today I decided to start uploading my Fanart of the different Holozing characters in Chibi version, with Forest Healer.
I've always liked Chibis, for me it's very relaxing to draw super cute characters with the characteristics of this drawing style. To raise the quality of the image of the final product, I decided to simply use Canva in its Pro version, which provides us with an App that allows us to raise the quality to a certain point, without intervening in the design in any way, you will see this at the end of this post.
Saludos Comunidad Holozing. Desde hace tiempo estoy enamorada de sus personajes y de los fanart que realizan los Hivers, estaba muy deseosa de comenzar a realizar ilustraciones digitales, pero aún no tengo la confianza para hacerlo, me siento más segura dibujando en papel. Así que hoy me decidí a empezar a subir mis Fanart de los diferentes personajes de Holozing en versión Chibi, con Forest Healer.
Las Chibis siempre me han gustado, para mí es muy relajante dibujar personajes súper tiernos con las características de este estilo de dibujo. Para elevar la calidad de la imagen del producto final, decidí simplemente utilizar Canva en su versión Pro, que pone a nuestro alcance una App que nos permite subir la calidad hasta cierto punto, sin intervenir el diseño de ninguna manera, esto lo verán al final de esta publicación.
The materials I used were:
- Prismacolor colors
- Alcohol markers
- Pencil, mechanical pencil, pen and fountain pen
- Eraser and eraser
- Glue stick and scissors
- Thick cardboard

For this Holozing Chibis Collection that I'm going to start, I'll always use this cream or beige cardboard, it's thick and of good quality, and I'll work in rectangles of 14cms by 21cms always, so that they always look uniform.
I started by making a sketch of the shape of the Forest Healer Chibi, for this I used a pencil in some parts and a mechanical pencil in other more delicate parts like the eyes. To continue I'll use this Blur that has been with me for many years:
Para esta Colección de Chibis Holozing que voy a iniciar, utilizaré siempre esta cartulina de color crema o beige, es gruesa y de buena calidad, y trabajaré en rectángulos de 14cms por 21cms siempre, para que se vean bien uniforme siempre.
Comencé realizando un boceto de la forma de Forest Healer Chibi, para esto utilicé lápiz en algunas partes y portaminas en otras partes más delicadas como los ojos. Para continuar utilizaré esta Borrona que tiene muchos años conmigo:

The goal of the Eraser is to clean this eraser well, so that it is clear enough so that it does not contaminate the colors and markers that I will use to color, but that it still allows me to see the design.
It is a fabric that has an eraser inside that is almost powdery. When you roll this pillow over the drawing, the lines are erased smoothly, as much as you want. In the end, I have a sheet with the design practically like a transparency. I love this and I have always used it to have the initial design very neat and suitable for working.
El objetivo de la Borrona, es limpiar bastante este borrador, de manera de tenerlo bastante claro como para que no contamine los colores y marcadores que aplicaré para colorear; pero que permita aún así ver el diseño.
Es una tela que tiene dentro borrador casi en polvo, al hacer rodar esa almohada sobre el dibujo se van borrando las líneas de manera suave, tanto como lo quiera, al final tengo una hoja con el diseño prácticamente como una transparencia, esto me encanta y siempre lo he usado para tener el diseño inicial muy prolijo y apto para trabajar.
Now I go over the design with the pen, the one I have is 0.3 from the Pointer brand. There are places where I felt more comfortable outlining with the black pen, so I alternated. I tried to fill in the Chibi's shirt with the pen, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted, I improved it later.
Fores Healer's hair is green and has a light streak, I used markers that behaved quite well on the cardboard since it is thick.
Ahora repaso el diseño con el estilógrafo, el que tengo es de 0,3 de la marca Pointer. Hay lugares en que me sentía más cómoda delineando con el bolígrafo negro, así que iba alternando. La camisa de la Chibi traté de rellenarla con el bolígrafo, pero no quedó como quería, más adelante lo mejoré.
El cabello de Fores Healer es verde y tiene un mechón claro, utilicé marcadores que se comportaron bastante bien en la cartulina ya que es gruesa.

I filled in the shirt with a black pencil, one of the Prismacolor ones I mentioned. I'm not afraid of mixing materials like pencil, markers or colored pencils, everything seems valid to me and I like to experiment and see how they behave together.
I continued coloring Forest Healer with the materials I had available. I colored Forest Healer's eyes with two shades of green and I loved the result.
La camisa la rellené mejor con lápiz de color negro, de los Prismacolor que les mencioné. No le tengo miedo a mezclar materiales como lapicero, marcadores o lápiz de color, todo me parece válido y me gusta experimentar y conocer como se comportan juntos.
Continué coloreando a Fores Healer con los materiales que disponía. Los ojos de Forest Healer con dos tonos de verde y me encantó el resultado.

At this point in my drawing I realized that I hadn't drawn the Fores Healer necklace, so I had to improvise and drew the 3 rectangular stones in green, cut them out and then glued them one by one onto the shirt with a glue stick. Then the branch part on top.
So I was able to solve this thing that I initially forgot.
A esta altura de mi dibujo me di cuenta que no había dibujado el collar de Fores Healer, así que me tocó improvisar y dibujé en verde las 3 piedras rectangulares, las recorté y luego las pegué una a una sobre la camisa con pega en barra. Luego arriba la parte de la rama.
Así que pude resolver esto que olvidé inicialmente.

I added some shadows, a bit of pink on the cheeks of the beautiful Forest Healer, and that's it for this illustration.
Agregué algunas sombras, un poco de rosado en las mejillas de la bella Forest Healer, y así terminó esta ilustración.
I took a photo of the illustration with my cell phone, sent it via Telegram to my PC, where I uploaded it to Canva to make the cover of this post.
I removed the background of the image and then used this App that is within Canva, available in its paid version, that is, in Canva Pro, called Image Upscaler, which increases the resolution to 8x, thereby improving or raising the quality of the photo or illustration in this case, but without altering any element.
Tomé una foto de la ilustración con mi celular, la envié a través de Telegram a mi pc, donde la subí a Canva para realizar la portada de esta publicación.
Eliminé el fondo de la imagen y luego utilicé esta App que está dentro de Canva, disponible en su versión paga, es decir en Canva Pro, que se llama Image Upscaler, que lo que hace es aumentar la resolución a 8x, con ello mejora o eleva la calidad de la foto o ilustración en este caso, pero sin alterar ningún elemento.
Now you can see what Canva Pro did, which was like matching all the strokes and smoothing them out, but without modifying any strokes or color palette.
I loved the final result of the Forest Healer illustration, I really enjoyed the process which is very important to create. What took me the longest was the sketch, because I hadn't drawn for many years, but it has always been a passion that has accompanied me and that I even passed on to my children.
Ahora pueden ver lo que hizo Canva Pro, que fue como emparejar todos los trazos y suavizarlos, pero sin modificar ningún trazo o paleta de color.
Me encantó el resultado final de la ilustración de Forest Healer, disfruté mucho el proceso que es muy importante para crear. En lo que más me tardé fue en el boceto, porque tenía muchos años sin dibujar, pero siempre ha sido una pasión que me ha acompañado y que incluso pasé a mis hijos.
