18 and Done - an art activity on the blockchain

I first published this article on my ko-fi page a few minutes ago. I am reposting it here because it shows what I do with my art to build my community using NFTs on the WAX blockchain.

For over 4 years I've been grinding hard on the crypto blockchains trying to earn a living and spread my art around the world. When coming back onto ko-fi I thought that I should really focus on just web2 here.

Then I thought about it more over the last few days and came to the conclusion I should really use this as just another avenue to give away my artwork as digital assets to those that really want it.
So with that in mind, here's my first post about my newest artwork that I have made into a fun art collecting activity on the blockchain. I call it, 18 and DONE.

After I digitized my art and edited it in photoshop I start templating the parts and create an NFT Art Project on the WAX blockchain.
If you are not familiar with NFTs and blockchain technology I just have to say that it is the most fun and rewarding art experiences I have had ever. It opens up the possibility to connect with the community in ways that I always wanted to but never could.

It encourages people to trade duplicates, sell duplicates, buy duplicates, just to complete collections, or in this case a single artwork. Think trading cards, but different. Much more community oriented with a touch of profit. Some people are here only for profit and I get it, but I try to focus on the fun. Community is fun.

I like to make games out of my artwork and encourage the Horde (our community of zombie art collectors) to come together in the discord to swap parts.

There are going to be 18 full uncut editions of this artwork and the only way to get one is to collect all the individual pieces and the only way to get those is to pay attention to what I post on ko-fi as well as watch my Twitch livestreams to 'dig' for free packs.

Packs, in this case, refer to an NFT that acts like a container for other NFTs. Inside each pack is 1, 2 or maybe even 3 different NFTs. There's also a chance of an empty pack because that's funny and why not? :)

You can see on the image that there is a number. Part 6. There are 19 parts to collect and a little bit of rarity will be added to make certain parts even more hard to get. Evil in it's most random number generated form.

Anyways. That's the plan and these packs will start being released on Monday.

If you want to know more about WAX and get set up, reach out. It's a great community with lots of helpful people.
Thanks for reading. What do you think of the actual art?

Cheers!!
