We think the lovely H&T; seen here, (as she’s telling the pigeons to stay away from her food,) will be having her babies soon, she’s getting bigger every day and we’re looking forward to meeting our next generation of squirrel friends. 😊
Despite our hatchling Caramels best efforts to scratch them up, our asparagus plants are doing well, at least we think they are, it’s our first time ever growing them, so we aren’t 100% positive what they should look like. They look healthy and are getting bigger, so we’re going to say they’re good. 😊
I only made a small batch of buns to get us through the weekend and I used the rest of the dough to experiment. 😊

With the rest of the dough, from the buns I made these. I was trying to make mini apple turnovers/buns, but they didn’t turn out quite as I’d hoped or expected. My handsome husband said they tasted just like the apple fritters from Tim Hortons minus the icing/glaze, so despite their appearance they tasted good and that’s what I was hoping for. 😊
I went with just a regular slashed line design for this week’s bread, and I gave it an additional rise before cooking it. That gave it a nice, super soft and fluffy interior and had a nice crisp on the bottom. Perfect for sandwiches and toast. 😊

We have another new pigeon, this one is a dark blackish purple colour, and we need to come up with a name for this one, but we aren’t sure if it’s a male or female yet, so we haven’t got a name for it yet. Any ideas? 😊

I'm wondering if it is early blight? Potatoes are susceptible as are tomatoes and the rest of nightshades. Your bull sure was enjoying himself. It's always amazing just how fast chickens grow. They are almost out of the gawky teenager stage...

We're thinking the same thing, though this is the first year our potatoes have ever had it and our tomatoes have never had it before, so we'll keep an eye on them as well. 😊
Yes, Prince Lee really loves being brushed, and his enjoyment is evident every time we bring it out and use it on him. I think he's adorable with the little grin he gets that shows off his teeth while being brushed too. 😊
I know right, they're growing up too fast. It'll be nice to see what their final colourings will be as adults. 😊
