Hello everyone, thank you for stopping by and wanting to be part of a community that strives not to overshadow others, nor to compete with anyone. This is simply a space for exchanging experiences and cultural knowledge about something we all love: coffee. It's not just a beverage; it has both external and internal significance when it comes to consumption. It all starts with a simple seed and ends as a liquid substance. That's where we want to go – your knowledge, your tasting, and your way of seeing and feeling it.
Not all of us are experts in the coffee world, but if you enjoy a good cup of coffee or want to learn about its process, this is the community for you.
History of the Community @coffee-lovers
The community was created in 2020, following the fork from Steemit that led to the birth of HIVE. The founder @critic-on, who is still working on the crypto farm project in Venezuela, had the idea of uniting coffee lovers from around the world to share their ideas and coffee-related businesses globally, with the HIVE token being involved in the exchange. Coffee has a price worldwide, traded on different stock markets. This is where the project @coffee-lovers was born. Due to various life circumstances, the project had to be paused until the necessary resources were found to get it started. It was in March 2025, five years later, when the idea was reactivated to continue seeking international support and motivation.
Purpose of the Community
The purpose of this community is more complex than it seems, and I’ll mention a little about it: at first, we’ll aim to connect with different people, build relationships, and grow the audience and the number of participants. Within @coffee-lovers, there will be moderators focused on filtering plagiarized content or content generated by artificial intelligence to ensure no spam exists in the community. Later, we will select coffee specialists (baristas, coffee producers, coffee tasters, coffee consultants, or others if necessary). These specialists will be in charge of giving live talks (depending on their location) or online if needed. We’ll also create a channel on Discord or another platform to share daily coffee-related information, which will also include the daily price of coffee on the international market, with conversion to HIVE, to facilitate coffee trading.
All of this will take time, and we’ll try to shorten the process as much as possible, but everything depends on the acceptance and enthusiasm of the people.
Support
Currently, we have personal investment and external support to HIVE, but we are open to receiving more support. However, we don't plan on launching a Trail or gathering delegations for votes. Everything will grow organically, just like the consumption of our coffee. If you are willing to delegate, it should be with a purpose within the community that benefits the collective.
We will continue brainstorming new ideas… or modifying some along the way. Not all communities are born and grow the same; everything has its development. We hope to have the support of everyone.
