When a cyclone is approaching, clouds are a signal. // Cuando se acerca un ciclón, las nubes son una señal.[ENG-ESP]
Hello to all cloud lovers, I am glad to be able to contribute something to this interesting community. Most of the time when we look at the sky we find clouds that indicate how the day will be in general. Sometimes you look for a cloud in the blue sky and it's not easy to find it, that means the day will be hot, very sunny, it's lovely. But when we see gray clouds and strange formations of them in the sky, there we know that the day will be rainy and wet. A few days ago there was a cyclone warning that would pass leaving its traces along the Venezuelan coasts.
Hola a todos los amantes de las nubes, me alegra poder aportar algo a esta interesante comunidad. La mayoría de las veces que vemos al cielo encontramos nubes que indican cómo será el día en general. A veces se busca una nube en el cielo azul y no es fácil encontrarla, eso significa que el día será caluroso, muy soleado, es encantador. Pero cuando vemos nubes grises y extrañas formaciones de ellas en el cielo, allí sabemos que el día será lluvioso y húmedo. Hace unos días se hizo un alerta de ciclón que pasaría dejando sus huellas por las costas venezolanas.
We all prepare for that moment, although in Venezuela it is not very common to see strong storms or cyclones, but there is always a first time, hahaha. Just a few days before the cyclone warning, I went out as usual for my exercise walk, it was 5:30 pm. Seeing the clouds and the panorama I thought that for sure I wouldn't get far, since the rains would fall in the least expected time. However, as I reached a certain part of the route I was amazed by the spectacle of clouds in the sky, a combination of gray and reddish yellows of the moment.
Todos nos preparamos para ese momento, aunque en Venezuela no es muy común ver tormentas fuertes o ciclones, pero siempre hay una primera vez, jajaja. Justo unos días antes de que sucediera el alerta por el ciclón, salí como de costumbre a dar mi caminata de ejercicio, eran las 5:30 pm. Viendo las nubes y el panorama pensé que de seguro no llegaría lejos, pues las lluvias caerían en lo menos esperado. Sin embargo, en lo que llegué a cierta parte del recorrido me sombro el espectáculo que había de nubes en el cielo, combinación de grises y amarillos rojizos del momento.
The landscape was wrapped by such an impressive accumulation of clouds that indicated that heavy rains were coming, from one angle to another I could see that behind these formations was the sun, hence that color between yellow and reddish between the clouds, a spectacle. The truth is that all of us who were walking at that time were struck by the sky completely covered with these clouds. So much so, that not only I made a stop to observe and photograph, but others did too. How there were people who were not even aware of that ... because most do not stop to observe these wonders of nature, for lack of time or because they simply do not care, it's a shame. I did enjoy the moment, the environment and it helped me to get the stress out of my mind. The thought of that storm coming, as I call it, gave me some fear at the beginning, but in the end I loved taking pictures of the moment.
El paisaje era arropado por tan impresionante acumulación de nubes que indicaban que venían fuertes lluvias, desde un ángulo a otro pude observar que detrás de esas formaciones estaba el sol, de allí ese color entre amarillo y rojizo entre las nubes, un espectáculo. Lo cierto es que a todos los que estábamos caminando a esa hora nos llamó la atención el cielo completamente cubierto con estas nubes. Tanto es así, que no solo yo hice una parada para observar y fotografiar sino que otros lo hicieron también. Cómo habían personas que ni estaban pendientes de eso...pues la mayoría no se detiene a observar estás maravillas de la naturaleza, por falta de tiempo o por qué sencillamente no les importa, es una lastima. Yo si disfrute el momento, el ambiente y me sirvió para sacar el estrés de mi mente. Pensar en que venía esa tormenta como yo la llamo me dio algo de temor al principio, pero al final me encantó tomar fotos del momento.
Although the cyclone did not arrive on the day of the photos, I think it was already warning that it was near, the day after the walk, it rained a lot during the morning, and this was repeated for several days. These cyclones or storms can affect by their strong winds, heavy rains and high waves in coastal areas. They even cause flooding, landslides, falling trees and others. We were rightly warned about this cyclone that would pass by the Venezuelan coasts. In some areas of the country, the effects of these strong winds and rains were felt more than in others, although we have already been hearing news for a few weeks about the havoc caused by the heavy rains in general. What is certain is that the clouds and the dark gray sky on the other side of the photo site, showed that what was to come was intense.
A pesar de que ese día de las fotos no llegó el ciclón anunciado creo que ya avisaba que estaba cerca, el día siguiente a la salida a caminar, llovió mucho durante toda la mañana, y esto se repitió por varios días. Estos ciclones o tormentas pueden afectar por sus fuertes vientos, lluvias intensas y oleajes altos en las zonas de las costas. Incluso causan inundaciones, derrumbes, caídas de árboles y demás. Con toda razón se nos alertó sobre este ciclón que pasaría por las costas venezolanas. En algunas zonas del país se sintieron más que en otros, los efectos de estos fuertes vientos y lluvias, aunque ya tenemos unas cuantas semanas escuchando noticias de los estragos que han causado las fuertes lluvias en general. Lo cierto es que las nubes y el cielo gris oscuro al otro lado del sitio de las fotos, mostraban que lo que estaba por venir era intenso.
I am glad to be able to share these photos with you, they are my own. In the end, a few days passed when they gave exact date and time that the cyclone would be present, but in the area of the country where I live it was not as noticeable as I expected it to be.
