Cirrus clouds and sea — Cirros y el mar (En/Es)

The cirrus is a type of clouds, which is quite quite common at the coast of the north of Chile. The clouds shown in this photo look like cotton filaments on the deep blue sky. I find quite beautiful the contrast between the blue of the sky with dark blue of the sea.

Español:

Los cirros o cirrus son un tipo de nube bastante frecuente en la costa del norte de Chile. Las que se observan en la foto que hoy publico, lucen como filamentos de algodón sobre un cielo azul profundo. Por otro lado encuentro muy bonito el contraste entre el azul del cielo con el azul oscuro del océano.

I also show the black and white version of the image. Which deepens the contrast between the sea and the sky.

También muestro la versión en blanco y negro de la imagen. La cual profundiza el contraste entre el cielo y el mar.

In order to have an idea of the intensity of the space, you see in the foreground a freighter ship, which is quite big (more then 200 metes long, but it looks quite small. If you observe well the image at the horizon, there is the silhouette of other cargo ship. I marked it in the next image.

Para que tengan una idea de la inmensidad del espacio abarcado en la imagen. En primer plano está un barco de carga el cual a pesar de tener más de 200 metros de eslora se ve realmente pequeño. Adicionalmente si observan bien la imagen notaran en el horizonte la silueta de otro carguero, la cual marqué en la siguiente imagen.

The photo was taken in Antofagasta (Chile) with a Camera Sony Alpha 7 (ILCE 7) with lenses Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS. The images were edited using Gimp.

Las foto fue tomada en Antofagasta con una cámara Sony Alpha 7 (ILCE 7) equipada con un lente Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS. La edición de las imágenes fue realizada en Gimp.
