Today I show some images of an unusual cloud formation at the coast. It is dense layer that covers a large portion of the horizon, and just some degrees above it there is a zone uncovered showing the deep blue of the sky. At the horizon there is the silhouette of the mountain known as “Cerro Moreno”.

Hoy muestro unas imágenes de una formación nubosa no muy común. Pueden observar una densa capa de nubes que cubre una extensa zona, principalmente en el horizonte.
Pero unos grados más arriba de este, el cielo se despeja mostrando una zona en azul profundo. Al fondo de la imagen se aprecia la silueta del “Cerro Moreno”.

Among the four images, which one do you like most?
Muestro las imágenes en color y en blanco y negro. Pueden notar como las versiones monocromáticas difieren bastante de las originales.

The photos were taken in Antofagasta (Chile) with different equipment. The first was the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S20, using the wide angle lens (0.5x), whereas the second photo was taken with a Sony Alpha 7 equipped with lenses Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS. The images were edited using Gimp.
Las fotos fueron tomada en Antofagasta usando diferentes equipos. La primera imagen fue capturada con la cámara de un Samsung Galaxy S20, mientras que la segunda con una Sony Alpha 7 dotada con lente Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS. La edición de las imágenes fue hecha en Gimp.
