Today Battle Tough Opponent Yet a Great Experience Splinterlands
Splinterlands is currently one most popular names among online card battle games. Thousands players test their skills strategies, and luck here every day. I also play a few matches every day, not just increase my rank—I enjoy every moment game. However, today's match was completely different. The opponent I faced in todays battle was a really strong and experienced player. I knew from the first look at his deck that match would not be easy.
But despite being a tough opponent match was amazing—exciting tense and full uncertainty until very end. Although I couldnt win in end whole game was still enjoyable. I am sharing that experience with you today.
The beginning of the battle: the opponent's powerful setup
Immediately after the match started, I was really surprised by the cards summoned by my opponent. Each of his cards was perfectly selected—high level, good stats, and great synergy. A strong tank in the front, a high damage dealer in the back, and some cards as supports whose abilities could easily turn the tide of the match.
My own team wasn't bad either. I had planned my cards well—defense on the frontline, balanced attackers in the middle, and magic and support units in the back. But the opponent's setup was really scary. The strength of his cards was felt in the first round of the game.
My defense in middle match his counterattack
The game became more exciting match progressed. My tank card lasted a long time, so I had a lot opportunities early on. I was slightly ahead in the first two rounds. But from third round, the opponent started to show his true strength.
He had a magic attacker card, which was bypassing my defense every time he attacked and dealing direct damage to my health. Another range card was steadily weakening my backline every round. His healers and support units were making him even stronger.
I still didn't give up. When one of my special ability cards activated in the middle, some control of the match came to me. An important card of the opponent was then dropped. But just as I thought that the opportunity was created, he turned the situation around again.
The final tough fight and the result
As the match approached the last two rounds, there were only 2-3 cards left on the field. Both sides were in almost equal positions. But the ability of a high-level card of the opponent changed the entire result. His card was dealing extra damage with every attack, which I realized when I lost my last card.
I lost match—but at very last moment.
Even though I saw Defeat instead Victory on results screen, I had no regrets about today match. Because it was a matter pride fight so closely against an experienced player like my opponent.

I've played many matches won many times lost many times. But today's battle felt special for a few reasons—

Even though he was strong I never felt like I was out fight throughout the game. I survived until end and that was real fun match.
- I clearly understood my mistakes
This match made me realize where my deck needed to be improved. Especially, magic defense and backline protection need to be strengthened.
- It was both fun learning experience

Although I didnt win today match, I’m still satisfied with my performance. I fought well even against a strong opponent. That’s real joy game—not winning losing but the experience every moment.
