In my previous post about dCrops, I mentioned that I would make another post at the end of the Summer season. Well, Summer season ended yesterday and I can confidently share my thoughts on whether or not it is a good idea to get involved.
I reached rank #118 on the Summer leaderboard with my initial $40 investment and received 630.66 CROP tokens. I do not plan on spending this yet, but when I do I will most likely buy more Alpha Packs or sell it for HIVE.
Now that 15 days have passed, I finally have enough average CROP Power to start earning daily HIVE drops. With the bare minimum of around 20K, I am making about 0.067 HIVE per day.
When I started playing 15 days ago, there were 20,000 Alpha Packs remaining. Now, in less than a month, there is half that. I may end up buying and holding some more Alpha Packs if I get a chance to before they are all gone, but if you are hesitating to get invested you should make a decision quickly, as they are on track to run out before Fall is finished. I have read in other posts that land will either be much harder to get or stop being minted entirely after Alpha, which means that land cards are probably going to rocket in value once packs sell out.
After the success of Summer, I spent a bit more money on the cheapest Seeds that would completely fill up my land for every season. I have around $70 invested now, almost doubling my initial investment. I will not invest any more directly in cards for the foreseeable future, but my farm will continue bringing me value nonetheless. You can find my inventory here.
In conclusion, if you like passive-ish income with just a bit of effort, I believe dCrops is a great opportunity for you. Whether you wish to run your own farm, or just hold Alpha Packs for daily HIVE drops, or both. Either way, now's the time to join up because once those Alpha Packs are gone, it will be much more difficult (and/or expensive) to invest.
