First Splinterlands Match and I Won It

At the time I initially opened Splinterlands, I was really lacking in understanding what was going on. I pushed random buttons, looked at the cards that I was not able to pronounce, and why everyone was talking about mana and abilities. However, there was a funny occurrence that I had not anticipated. I have my first actual game, laid my cards like an amateur and somehow... I won. It was not due to any wild idea I had but the game dragged me in so quickly that I learnt without even knowing it.

That first win felt good. Like really good. It was a minor thing yet it left me wondering what I could do in addition. And then, today, having been playing since some time and learning a bit a bit, I eventually unlocked Frontier Bronze I. This was enormous to a novice like myself. I really did not think that I would get there so fast.

I would like to tell how everything occurred since this game has its rhythm and, gradually, I came to know how to move with it.

At the beginning of Splinterlands, it is all about cards. Each of the cards possesses a combination of attack, speed, health, and some weird special abilities, which you get to know only after several games. At first, I didn't care much. I simply put anything that looked powerful. Then I lost a few matches. Then I lost a few more. And lastly I realised that this game is not a luck game. It is something to do with how you establish your team and how one reads the rules displayed prior to each battle.

This is when it happened to me.
I began to take a better critical examination of my cards. I questioned who heals, and who is attacked at the rear, who smashes armour, and who endures the longer. And gradually the game used to take sense.

I was given some additional energy by the game when I was frontier bronze today. Honest to state, I was not even aware that this would occur. But the game seemed to be giving me a pat on the back, and told me, Good job, you improving. The opponents in this league are more difficult and one literally needs to think before laying down a card. That's what makes it fun. Strategy begins to hold an increased significance than the power of the card himself.

I had two cards that were of service this day, Vengeful Monk and Spitting Camel.
The Monk surprised me. In the beginning, it appeared to be like any other card. However, it began healing itself, and then I realised how powerful it can be. It is not that hard but the manner in which it remains alive is extremely different when fighting a long bout.

Then there's Spitting Camel. This card is positioned around the back and continues to attack in a secure position. It was not something I thought it would make much, but it does. When your tank is busy receiving hits, the Camel goes on silently killing the enemy. A plain card but it got me out of more than one engagement to-day.

I eventually realized the reason why people discuss league hiking so much after my victories in those matches and the appearance of the league badge. The higher it is the better the rewards. New cards, bonuses, points, it all is more exciting. Each unlock is a kind of a door to a new room of the game.

Splinterlands is not nothing but battles. The entire game possesses a small world.
There is Play, which is where actual battles take place. Then there is Shop that made me aware of the number of cards in this game. There is a market where people buy and sell cards and it is quite truthful to say that it is a mini economy. You can sell, purchase as well as get unexpected deals. Open on the one hand is a miniature lotto. you open packets and dream of something unexpressionable. Items are placed where the useful stuff would be found, and Guilds enable you to interact with other players and it adds an entire social dimension into the game.

The daily missions or Focus system also provides you with something to pursue even on the daily basis. Each of the matches reminds a reader that there is something bigger attached.

Today was a good day to me in the game. The idea of achieving Frontier Bronze I might be nothing to pro players, but considering that a person was confused on the first day, it is a lot. It is as though I have just figured out the breathing of the game. Each card I make, each strategy I strategize and each victory I win puts me a little bit ahead.

That is why Splinterlands is so special, as a beginner player.
It's not just about winning. It is about knowing rhythm of the game, and getting little wins even bigger and larger and larger.
it is about gradually creating a deck that can be considered as your own.
