A few weeks ago a special Rising Star card was released in Kings Of Duels (KOD), this card can only be purchased in the KOD game with STARPRO. I didn't know the game until the release of this card, so I took advantage of this event to start playing, since it has all the elements that I like, it's a game of strategy and cards, the cards are NFTs and it's also in the HIVE's "blockchain", in my opinion, has it all 😜.
The first thing I did, as usual in this type of game, is to buy some packs of cards in the "MARKET", a small initial investment that would allow me to start playing and move forward. You can also buy single cards in the market place or even rent them, although it is not necessary to buy anything to start playing, that is, you can start playing for free, the game will provide you with 20 cards with which to start fighting in the board. Also the game is available in English and Spanish
I set out to open the packs, I bought starter packs (and I recommend that this be the first thing you buy), Samurai packs and of course, Rising Star packs. I bought packs instead of going to the market place because it's more fun for me but It will surely be more practical to buy the cards separately, although for that you also have to know what to buy, I had no idea since I was completely unaware of the mechanics of the game. For this very reason I started doing the tutorial, it took me a bit to get over it, I had to repeat it several times because I didn't understand how the board worked, and above all, I didn't know that half of it corresponded to the enemy 😂
As you can see, the board has a good amount of squares in which to place the cards that can be of multiple types, there are "Champions" "Rune" and "Ambush" cards and also a series of special cards to combine with them. With the champions we can attack and defend, as you can see they have both an attack value and a defense value, the Runes will help us to give the Champion better abilities or use them against the enemies, and the Ambush is used to set a trap for the enemy when going to attack But the game is not even remotely that simple, to begin with you cannot use all your cards, you must make a deck that only fits 30 and in which it is advisable to use less and be very clear about which ones you need since a bad card in the deck can ruin your game
Once you have chosen the cards in your deck you can go fight, as in other games of this type there is a ranking of players and a series of leagues (bronze, silver, gold, etc.) through which to advance
the game is not easy, that is the good thing about KOD, it is not a simple game, on the contrary you have to think carefully about what you are going to do in each battle while the timer runs (90 seconds per turn), although once you know what what you have to do is just a matter of practice, it requires learning and what I am telling you about in this post is actually a first contact since it has various forms of play, battle pass, and an infinity of cards that also have multiple characteristics, in each letter you will see its attack and defense values and a description of its abilities, it is very important to read them and know the abilities of each champion and also the runes, since they will be essential in each battle
Well, as I was saying, once you have created the deck you can go to combat, go to start, click play and if you have finished the tutorial choose "RANKED"
The game will search for a rival and the battle begins, the game takes turns and each turn has two parts, in the first part you select the cards with which you are going to play that turn and in the second part the battle is executed as such. Each turn has a maximum duration of 90 seconds, once you have chosen the cards to use in the turn, you have two buttons on the right side, one to go to battle mode, that is, the second part of the turn, and another to end the turn. turn when you think convenient
KOD is a very well built game, with many details to take into account when fighting on the board, you have to think about a good strategy and preparing the deck is also part of its appeal, you have to play a lot, I have also with the help of other players and @lavino himself, creator of the game. KOD allows you to add friends and challenge them individually, this mode will help you a lot to learn how to play, if you meet other players or encourage a HIVE user to play, training will be much easier for you.
In short, Kings Of Duels is a very good game that is also on HIVE, so you can start playing immediately for free. A good alternative to Splinterlands and an excellent complement to Rising Star, since while you wait for your missions to finish you can battle on KOD 😛

Hola a todos
hace ya unas semanas salió a la venta una carta especial de Rising Star en Kings Of Duels (KOD), esta carta solo puede comprarse en el juego KOD con STARPRO. No conocía el juego hasta el momento del lanzamiento de esta carta, así que aproveché este acontecimiento para empezar a jugar, ya que tiene todos los elementos que me gustan, es un juego de estrategia y cartas, las cartas son NFTs y además está en la "blockchain" de HIVE, a mi parecer lo tiene todo 😜.
Lo primero que hice, como es habitual en este tipo de juegos es comprar unos packs de cartas en el "MARKET", una pequeña inversión inicial que me permitiera empezar a jugar y avanzar. También se pueden comprar cartas sueltas en el market place o incluso alquilarlas, aunque no es necesario comprar nada para empezar a jugar, es decir, podéis empezar a jugar de forma gratuita, el juego te proporcionará 20 cartas con las que empezar a luchar en el tablero. El juego está disponible en Español y en Inglés
Me dispuse a abrir los packs, compré packs de inicio (y os recomiendo que sea lo primero que compréis), packs Samurai y como no, packs de Rising Star. Yo compré packs en vez de ir al market place porque me resulta más divertido pero seguramente será más práctico comprar las cartas por separado, aunque para eso también tienes que saber que comprar, yo no tenía ni idea ya que desconocía por completo la mecánica del juego. Por esta misma razón empecé a hacer el tutorial, me costó un poco superarlo, tuve que repetirlo varias veces porque no entendía el funcionamiento del tablero, y sobre todo, no sabía que la mitad correspondía al enemigo 😂
Como podéis ver, el tablero tiene una buena cantidad de casillas en las que colocar las cartas que pueden ser de múltiples tipos, hay cartas "Campeones" "Runa" y "Emboscada" y además una serie de cartas especiales para combinar con éstas. Con los campeones podemos atacar y defender, como podéis ver tienen tanto un valor de ataque como un valor de defensa, las Runas nos ayudaran a darle mejores capacidades al Campeón o utilizarlas contra los enemigos, y las Emboscada sirven para ponerle una trampa al enemigo cuando va a atacar. Pero ni de lejos el juego es tan sencillo, para empezar no puedes usar todas tu cartas, deberás hacer un mazo en el que solo caben 30 y en el que es recomendable usar menos y tener muy claro cuales necesitas ya que una mala carta en el mazo te puede arruinar el juego
Una vez que has elegido las cartas de tu mazo puedes ir a pelear, como en otros juegos de este tipo existe un ranking de jugadores y una serie de ligas (bronze, plata oro, etc) por la que ir avanzando
el juego no es fácil, eso es lo bueno de KOD, no es un juego simplón, al revés hay que pensar bien lo que vas a hacer en cada batalla mientras corre el cronómetro (90 segundos por turno), aunque una vez que sabes lo que hay que hacer es solo cuestión de practicar, requiere de aprendizaje y esto que os cuento en este post es realidad una primera toma de contacto ya que tiene diversas formas de juego, battle pass, e infinidad de cartas que además tienen múltiples características, en cada carta veréis sus valores de ataque y defensa y una descripción de sus habilidades, es muy importante leerlas y conocer las habilidades de cada campeón y también de las runas, ya que serán fundamentales en cada batalla
Bueno, como iba diciendo, una vez que has creado el mazo ya puedes ir al combate, vas a inicio, das click en play y si ya has terminado el tutorial eliges "RANKED"
El juego buscará un rival y comienza la batalla, el juego va por turnos y cada turno tiene dos partes, en la primera seleccionas las cartas con las que vas a jugar ese turno y en la segunda parte se ejecuta la batalla como tal. Cada turno tiene una duración máxima de 90 segundos, una vez has elegido las cartas a utilizar en el turno, tienes dos botones el el lado derecho, uno para pasar al modo batalla, es decir, la segunda parte del turno y otro para finalizar el turno cuando creas conveniente
KOD es un juego muy bien construido, con muchos detalles a tener en cuenta a la hora de luchar en el tablero, en enecesario pensar una buena estrategia y preparar el mazo también es parte de su atractivo, es necesario jugar mucho, yo además he tenido ayuda de otros jugadores y del propio @lavino, creador del juego. KOD permite añadir a amigos y retarles individualmente, este modo os ayudará mucho a aprender a jugar, si conocéis a otros jugadores o bien animáis a algún usuario de HIVE a jugar, os resultara mucho más fácil el entrenamiento.
en definitiva Kings Of Duels es un muy buen juego que además está en HIVE, por lo que podéis empezar a jugar de inmediato y además gratis. Una buena alternativa a Splinterlands y un complemento excelente a Rising Star, ya que mientras esperas que tus misiones terminen puedes batallar en KOD 😛

Se ve bastante interesante el juego, hay que sentarse a practicar y estudiar las cartas.
En algún momento había leído del juego, pero no tenía presente que estaba ya en servicio.
