Hello, the beautiful people of Splinterverse. Hope all of you are doing well and enjoying the recently introduced WILD and MODERN format in Splinterlands. I am also enjoying the new format with higher rewards options like more DEC in MODERN FORMAT while easier winning in WILD format for the new players like me.
Last week, I have introduced some strategical ways to find the new cheaper cards which can be very useful from many perspectives in the game such as more winning with more DEC, more R-shares. These cheaper and alternating cards can be useful and an amazing options for the substitute of many expensive cards with high renting values. And also for price appreciation in future these cards can be a solid investments in this dumped market. I hope this discussion will be very helpful for improving your Splinterlands experience.
Before discussing today's cards, I want to summarize some facts from the last week's post which have been considered for selecting these cards to be very useful, especially for new players who largely depends on the Chaos edition or current reward cards. And all of the discussion is for entertainment purposes, not for a financial suggestion or 100 proven strategies that have no failure. These all are based on my own experience in the Gold league and 1 year of market follow up of Splinterlands assets.
The most important fact of the overall discussion is about the scarcity of cards is eminent in the coming future if you are thinking that there will be a flood of cards after the Chaos packs are sold but according to their data only 6k max CL cards will be after all cards are printed. You can feel how much you need to max it according to your league after entering the gold league and in diamond or champion, you can’t imagine if you are not a whale or investing tons of money!
The DEC reward with the R-shares is directly related to the cards you are using starter cards will decrease your rewards significantly. And the Gold foiled, Alpha, Beta or Promo cards will increase your rewards significantly. And those alpha, beta and promo cards are very expensive for leveling up. But with these cheap cards with GF version you can get the similar benefits of those expensive cards.
Besides, the recent announcement, they are planning or there is a possibility to distribute the rewards according to the card level to encourage players to buy and combine their cards and climb up to the higher league.
There are so many cheap cards that can be used as an alternative to many expensive cards in many cases to grow decks and higher rewards with a higher winning ratio.
Before investment, the utility of the cards should be considered to utilize them perfectly. For example, good DRAGON or NEUTRAL cards are always the best cards for overall decks.
As the Alpha and Beta cards are always out of the new players' budget, I will concentrate on Gold foiled new cards as they are cheap and the bonus is also included while using in the battle. But here in my discussion I have introduced the per BCX value of these cards with normal version as very few players can afford GF cards with max level according to their league.
Maximum cards will be focusing on the MODERN format as the modern cards are always usable in WILD format but the WILD cards are not allowed in Modern format. That is why the modern format is nowadays very competitive with higher DEC rewards!
Now let’s dive into the selected cards according to the Splinter teams. I have chosen several cards for each team and figure out the possible alternative with the expensive cards!

So, today I will introduce the EARTH and the LIFE team members.
EARTH SPLINTERS
I will discuss about the TANKs first then the supporting monsters for clearer concept.
TANK
One of my favorite Tank in Gold league is the PELACOR MERCENARY which is awesome with higher speed, flying and self-healing capability. And the price is just a penny. Whereas the FLESH GOLEM is too expensive without the flying ability so the dodging rate of PELACOR MERCINARY will be dominating compare to the FLESH GOLEM. And in case of STONESPLITTER ORC with the retaliate ability has less life which is not a good choice in this case.
If you want to chose the shield ability to make half of all the range and melee attacks, then MYCELIC INFATRY is the best choice with compare to the STONE GOLEM. Here, You can save $4.77 per BCX copy.
Supporting monsters
For sneak or opportunity attacker, the VENARI SCOUT can be an amazing cards with the cheapest cost with the dodging ability also in compare to other monsters in the same category.
The GOBLIN PSYCHIC is one of the best cards in earth team among the existing and the new cards. It is the combination of the two other expensive cards: MASHROOM SEER and the WOOD NYMPH. If you are buying cards, this card is a must buy card.
For snipe attacks, the HUNTER JARX is a good option instead of the super expensive SPIRIT OF THE FOREST. Though the legendary one has many more abilities but cost is so important in this discussion, this card can be a great card for low level players for snipe attacks.
Another solid RANGE attacker is the VENARI SEEDSMITH which has some amazing ability also with lot of attacks with very cheap cost to level up.
Even after these amazing cards there are some super cards and some very useful cards which can not be replace with the existing new cheap cards. May be in future there will be the alternating cards or proper cards to defeat the cards like KRON the UNDYING!
LIFE SPLINTER
In a similar approach I will discuss the tanks first and then the supporting monsters.
TANKs
For low mana matches, the one cent monster PELACOR CONJURER is an amazing choice as the TANK in the category of attackless monsters. Also this cheap card has a tons of ability an hearts with only 2 MANA cost which is amazing. Even in moderate MANA matches, it can be used due to higher speed, flying ability with reflection and PHASE at the max level. I am really fan of this card and I use the GF version of max copy of my gold league in very low cost.
Another amazing card that can be a great TANK against RANGE and the MELEE attacks is the CHAOS KNIGHT which is also one of my favorite. The shield ability in level 1 with the other amazing ability of the INSPIRE and the GIANT KILLER make this card a fantastic card. In cheap and stronger deck building process, this card is a must buy card. I have also the GF version of silver league max of his card in my deck!
SUPPORTIVE MONSTERS
STITCH LEECH is an amazing sneak attacker in low cost with the amazing ability of LIFE LEECH. It worthless to compare with the FERAL SPIRIT as GF version will also bring the 10% extra reward bonus.
Another super supporting card in LIFE team is the ADELADE BRIGHTWING which has a number of great abilities in very low cost. It can be easily comparable with the most expensive card like ANGEL OF LIGHT or HIGH PRIEST DARIUS. Though they have some good ability but the cost is very crucial here in this comparison. I think ADELADE BRIGHTWING is also a must buy legendary among all the legendaries of the Chaos Legion edition.
The VENARI CRYSTALSMITH is the combo card of the two expensive cards: the DIVINE HEALER and the PEACEBRINGER. This card is very cost effective with extra abilities besides the TANK HEALER. This card is also a must buy card in in these price for making an stronger life deck.
I think life team has more super card than other teams! The PRISMOLOGIST is an awesome card with 3 best abilities in SPLINTERLANDS GAME. The BLAST ability from level one is awesome with the life summoner that increase the RANGE attack by 1. Also the FORCEFIELD will make the monster taking only 1 attack when the attacker has more or equal to 5 attacks. And the SILENCE which will reduce the magic attacks by 1 of the enemy monsters, all are amazing to be a super card! That's why it is a must buy cards for the RANGE attacks with the fare comparison with the EVANGELIST and AIR ELEMENTAL at high price.
The PELACOR ARBALEST can a very good cheap substitute of the expensive SILVERSHIELD ASSASSIN with the amazing ability of DOUBLE STRIKE for double attack to the target in each round.
Another amazing card to have with the life team is the DJINN RENOVA with some amazing abilities with large number of magic attacks. This card can easily substitute the expensive SILVERSHIELD SHERIFF from the superior ability and attacks perspective with the super cheap cost.
Still there are some amazing cards exists there which can't be replace in any sense but these are rare in numbers and very expensive for building decks for the new or lower amount of investing players. I hope in future the altering cards to these cards will be released.
Now let's get the answers why I have compared with the ALPHA cards. I am mentioning this answers with further explanation in the following points.
The alpha cards will give you 10% bonus and any gold card will also give you 10% bonus, so why you need alpha play with the gold foiled cards from reward or CL edition.
Cost of upgradation is too high for alpha and the renting price is often can be loss with the reward ratio!
Alpha cards can't be used in the MODERN LEAGUE but any cards can be used in the WILD FORMAT.
New players can afford the new cards to build their decks.
Ultimate Conclusion
Buy the GF version of these super useful cards which you can frequently use in the modern format or in WILD format with very low cost from the REWARDS or CL editions.
Don't care about the strong WILD cards, strong modern decks can defeat most of the WILD decks with proper battle strategy.
Winning ratio is very important for the REWARD maximization which is directly correlated to the cards you are using in your DECK.
