Hello, dear splinters boys and girls. Hope all of you are doing great and enjoying the amazing rewards from Splinterlands. Today is the last day of the season and I hope all of you have already claimed a lot of loot chests. Today I am going to discuss about the difficulties for grabbing more loot chests according to my experience and the new competitive game plays after the implementation of the revised reward system. And after that I will also discuss about the effective way for getting more R-shares from the each win of the battle.
Let’s start, before entering into the main discussion, I want to introduce my own experience after entering into the GOLD LAGUE 3. My deck is around silver max and I have maxed out some of the cheap reward cards and I have the CL Legendary summoner from the DRAGON unit at level 3 which is playable in gold league. Initially, it was very troublesome for winning matches against many strong teams, specially at the beginning of the season. And, for R-shares, it was difficult o gain a lot as the win ratio dropped too much. It takes 2/3 days to enter into the gold league after the seasonal resetting of the rating and ECR goes very below! But now I am very well to enter into the Gold league within the same day and I can grab up to 23K R-shares from the battle win by following some basic strategies. In this post I will discuss everything you should keep in your mind , especially if you are a new player like me with very weak decks but have passion to play in the gold league!

Difficulties to get more R-shares
First I want to summarize about the difficulties that are crucial for new players in the game. These should be kept in mind when playing the games. I will cover up from the basic to the in depth in the following points.
-The first and the initial step is to learn about the R-shares mechanism, how it works and how these are calculate, you can check the details here, but I will just mention the basic. The game rating and the league is the most important to grab more R-shares. Also, the Gold/alpha/promo cards will add extra 10% per cards and beta cards will add more 5% and the guild bonus will be applied with the amount of R-shares. Many players ignore these smaller details and even after win the loose a portion of the R-shares.
-The second most important thing is to aware about the using of starter cards. Even a single starter card can decrease a significant portion of the R-shares. Even I do this mistakes in my paying in absent mind.
-Third crucial things is the ECR rating, actually this is the driving force for your DEC rewards and the R-shares. Many players just kills the ECR drastically and get very lower amount of R-shares even with all the other requirement as gold/alpha/beta/promo cards.
-Besides, these basic things, players often ignore the previous 5 battle history of the opponent which is very important to choose your line up. Often people rent a max decks with some good cards and play with the same team blindly and continuously. And as a result the opponent can prepare death trap and your winning ratio will be drastically reduced which will affect your overall rewards including the DEC and the R-shares.
-Many people becomes addictive in claiming some DAILY REWARDS specially during the starting of a new season without noticing the winning ratio which will hamper in 3 ways:
1.There are many strong players are in the lower leagues after the rating is reset, and so for new players with the weak decks will loose most of the battle.
2.These will reduce the ECR dramatically and it take time to be restored even more than 2/3 days!
3.The reduced R-shares will be insufficient to get the DAILY REWARDS which will eventually results in reduced number of LOOT chests at end of the season.
-People often focus on the DAILY REWARDS and loose more battles, for me it is also true in many cases! But it is illogical because higher rating give you more R-shares and eventually you are getting R-shares for te end of season, so there should be put more importance on win not on the DAILY FOCUS. Atleast, there should be a balanced for maximizing both rewards.
-Renting more cards uselessly can also have some bad effect in rewrds collections, the true calculation after everyday battle must be evaluated in terms of renting cost and the rewards ratio. If you loose continuously, your strategy should be revised.
-Another reason for loosing many battles is using some meta always which can make the opponent to use some ways to tackle those. I have applied these according to the players previous battle chains and I have won only for the opponent’s blind use of meta!
How to maximize your rewards
As, I have mentioned the underlying issues in the previous section, I will not mentioned the same things again but I will show some of the proven ways can make your reward amount increased. The possible and effective ways are as follows,
-First thing is to understand the basic of the rewards system and use the cards accordingly.
-Don’t kill your ECR rate which is so important, if your wining ratio is down, think about your strategy again. For your kind information, I can get around 10 LOOT CHESTS from the DAILY FOCUS by only using less than 20% ECR! Especially be careful at the starting of the season, take a one day break when the stronger players will be gone to their higher leagues. You should go behind them not to compete with them.
-Rent an max alpha summoner according to your league and daily focus, I found it very helpful and every time you use it, you will 10% rewards, and many of these summoners are not so expensive to rent. Another thing, try to use the different approach for in cheaper way, don’t need to rent the most powerful one because if your monsters are not enough then the strongest summoner can’t help you win the battle.
-Rent some gold/alpha/beta monster but make sure you are renting the most useful one which you can use almost in every battle. Never rent so many as it will be expensive some time, but your cheap rated summoner will give you more option for monsters renting. And each monsters will you more 10%/5% rewards from the battle. It works very well for me.
-Skip some days from renting is also a good strategy to restores the ECR to maximum range. Normally with the rented cards you often play more but you should not kill the RCR at very lower range. Take your time by arranging some intervals. For an example, after getting 15/17 LOOT chests from the DAILY FOCUS, don’t grab more than 5/6 on the next day it will make an average to 11/12 per day with a cost of a single day renting. Though the next implementation of 2 days rent will kill this opportunity but you can also plan according the 2 days plan also.
-Always check out the opponent’s previous 5 battle chain which is very important to get the idea of the opponent’s next move. You can get the idea is opponent is following some strategies or like the blind ones. You will also get the idea about he opponent’s card collection and you can prepare your team according to the requirement.
-Don’t be addicted, just try to have fun and enjoy the game at your full extent. Addicting can make you bad performer with the tentative depression of loosing many battles. Just take a breath and take a break, it’s not everything.
