Not exactly but almost similar, it is in primary stage now where we can do battle with our monsters with other players. But after the LAND EXPANSION, there will be more things like making building, collecting resources and minting ITEMS and SPELLs which can be used in the battle like the a virtual universe I think. May be players will have less opportunity to change the world like some other games like MINECRAFT. But there will be the governance introduction in Splinterlands when the SPS holder can take any decision to move the game forward that will open a limitless opportunities here!
