Una vez fuera del vientre, este se enfrenta a un mundo cuyas características pueden oscurecer sus caminos y lo peor: acostumbrarlo a andar a la defensiva, con una malicia aprendida, que le ayudará a enfrentar diferentes momentos.
Con cuánta frecuencia escucho decir: «la gente es mala», esto implica que los padres en general traten de preparar a los suyos para un ambiente hostil y poco amigable.
Lo veo en las calles: el tan nombrado bullying, que muchos asumen como algo que ha existido siempre, que nos hizo fuertes, de alguna manera, y que una generación de cristal, exagera y busca defenderse del mismo, es algo que sigue presente. No comparto esa visión. Nadie debería atribuirse el derecho a irrespetar al otro, para volverlo objeto de burla y maldad, bajo ningún concepto.
Ya hay suficientes calamidades, desastres naturales, problemas sociales, económicos, políticos, que afectan la vida del ciudadano común. Pienso que es el momento de trabajar por una sociedad más justa, donde los valores y principios, tradicionalmente considerados como los más importantes, se promuevan, para que exista más equidad. Cada uno desde su centro de acción, tiene la posibilidad de dar luz, de irradiar optimismo, de impulsar buenas actitudes.
Consideremos algunos ejemplos de profesiones diversas. Los docentes, por ejemplo, cada uno de ellos, atiende cada día, un conjunto de estudiantes, quienes ya traen de sus hogares, diferentes problemas, que tienen que ver con: enfermedades, alcoholismo, violencia familiar, maltrato psicológico, entre otros. Llegar a la escuela y encontrar también un lugar nada acorde con el bienestar y la paz, porque el maestro está de mal humor, no hace sino agregar más elementos de insatisfacción al niño o joven, que se está formando.
Un enfermero que acude a hacer su trabajo con desgano, molesto, con indiferencia, no hace sino afectar más a quien ya se siente angustiado, por el problema de salud que esté pasando.
Un vendedor que se desempeña con arrogancia y mal carácter afecta también al cliente. Un chofer que maneja con descuido y mala disposición, expresándose con enojo, no hace sino proyectar su mal humor sobre los pasajeros, que ya están agobiados por diferentes problemas.
Si cada persona se propusiera, cada día, en ser alguien diferente, dentro del espacio en el que se mueve en sociedad, y manifestara interés, buena disposición anímica, amabilidad y buen trato, tendría la posibilidad de propiciar armonía y paz, tan necesaria en nuestra sociedad
Qué satisfactorio se siente un saludo mañanero, una buena atención, una conversación amigable, los deseos de un buen día, expresados por cada uno de los que le corresponde rodearse de otras personas. La dureza de la selva de cemento se minimiza y se procuran sitios amigables, aptos para una convivencia feliz. Aprendamos a dar luz.
