Using the Tool
Tomando en cuenta las orientaciones de nuestra amiga @damarysvibra, solicité a dos personas que realizaran una lista de características que describieran, según su percepción, mi personalidad. Les comenté a las dos personas seleccionadas que podían clasificarlas en características positivas o negativas de acuerdo a su opinión. Debo destacar que a quienes les solicité la caracterización, son dos personas que me conocen y han compartido conmigo en varios escenarios. Una de ellas me conoce desde hace más de 30 años y la otra desde hace 5 años. Además de las dos listas ya descritas, elaboré una lista con 9 características que definen mi esencia de vida. Con esa información inicié el proceso de autoevaluación utilizando La Ventana de Johari. El Área Pública corresponde a lo que yo conozco sobre mí y las demás personas conocen de mí. El Área Ciega está relacionada con lo que las demás personas conocen sobre mí y y no conozco. El Área Oculta corresponde a lo que conozco sobre mí y no le comento a las demás personas. El Área Desconocida es lo que las demás personas ni yo conocemos.
Taking into account the guidance of our friend @damarysvibra, I asked two people to make a list of characteristics that described, according to their perception, my personality. I told the two selected people that they could classify them into positive or negative characteristics according to their opinion. I should point out that the people I asked to characterise me are two people who know me and have shared with me in various settings. One of them has known me for more than 30 years and the other one for 5 years. In addition to the two lists already described, I made a list of 9 characteristics that define my life essence. With this information I started the self-assessment process using the Johari Window. The Public Area corresponds to what I know about myself and what other people know about me. The Blind Area relates to what other people know about me and what I do not know. The Hidden Area corresponds to what I know about myself and do not tell other people. The Unknown Area is what other people and I do not know.

Realizar la actividad fue una excelente forma de darme cuenta que las personas reconocen en mí, muchas de las características que definen mi personalidad. Otro aspecto que me llamó poderosamente la atención fue que las dos personas llegaron a la misma definición sobre mi postura ante las injusticias; es decir, mi intolerancia ante las injusticias. Me identifiqué cuando estaba realizando la lectura de las dos listas porque las mismas definen aspectos de mi ser espiritual, de mi ser humano y de mi ser social. Aunque debo decir que mi sorpresa fue que tanto la persona que me conoce hace 30 años y la que me conoce desde hace 5 años coinciden en muchas de sus características. Puedo decir que fue una experiencia enriquecedora realizar esta actividad aunque es la primera vez que la realizo. Jamás había ni conocido la herramienta ni mucho menos utilizarla para el autoanálisis.
Doing the activity was an excellent way of realising that people recognise in me many of the characteristics that define my personality. Another aspect that caught my attention was that the two people came up with the same definition of my stance on injustice, i.e. my intolerance of injustice. I identified myself when I was reading the two lists because they define aspects of my spiritual being, my human being and my social being. Although I must say that my surprise was that both the person who has known me for 30 years and the person who has known me for 5 years coincide in many of their characteristics. I can say that it was an enriching experience to carry out this activity although it is the first time I have done it. I had never even known the tool, let alone used it for self-analysis.
