I think people often make the mistake of believing that forgiveness is about the other person and they might conclude that they don't deserve to be forgiven. However, forgiveness is more about yourself, healing and moving on from the pain rather than allowing it eat you up inside.

Having witnessed how my friendships drifted apart due to defamation and slander was a painful experience that led me to feel lonely. We never want to see people we hold in high regard hurting each other... In reality, forgiveness is a fundamental aspect of individuality. I forgave myself for not noticing earlier that I was immersed in a toxic environment filled with grudges. Taking some distance from the surroundings proved enlightening.
