What was the greatest gift your parents gave you? We receive everything from our parents, because the main gift they give us is having given us life, from there we start and develop many tastes and skills, the vast majority transmitted from them. And it is from here that I want to start this post, that is why today I join this wonderful initiative created by my friend @charjaim within the great community of Holos Lotus, where it will be a pleasure for me to tell you everything I learned and continue to learn from my parents, which I take not only as a gift but also as a lesson. So once again, welcome everyone to my Blog.
Starting from the fact that I feel fortunate for the parents that life gave me, I must say that there are many gifts that I have received from them. Mainly their values and customs because I feel that they have been my greatest strength to grow as a professional and human being and they have taken me to where I am today. That is one of the gifts that I value the most because I know that growing up in a good home is not the luck of many and that leads to marking part of their life. After that there is also the fact of having a taste for music and dance so it is something that I considered I acquired and learned from them, because my father was a great lover of music, playing different instruments such as the cuatro, guitar, piano, bass, maracas and much more, and my mother has a truly privileged voice which is recognized as the most beautiful in the family.
Well, that is a skill that I share with both of them, the love for music, singing and dancing. In addition, the gift of being able to teach and transmit my knowledge with ease, my mother, like me, was dedicated to teaching and I think that seeing her since I was little with that devotion to education increased that feeling in me, for that reason I decided to unite my two passions, biology and education. Currently, it is one of the things I enjoy the most, because sharing with children and knowing that you are representing a change in them and leaving that small seed not only with knowledge but also with values is something I consider unique and comforting. Even though currently in my country it is not a job that is paid as it deserves.
¿Cuál fue el regalo más grande que te dieron tus padres? De nuestros padres recibimos todo, pues el regalo principal que nos brindan es habernos dado la vida, de allí partimos y desarrollamos muchos gustos y hablidades, la gran mayoria transmitidas de ellos. Y es desde aquí donde quiero iniciar este post, es por esto que hoy me uno a esta maravillosa iniciativa creada por la amiga @charjaim dentro de la gran comunidad de Holos Lotus, en donde será un gusto para mi contarles todo aquello que aprendí y sigo aprendiendo de mis padres lo cual tomo no solo como regalo sino también como enseñanza. Así que una vez más Bienvenidos todos a mi Blog.
Partiendo del hecho de que me siento afortunada por los padres que la vida me dio, debo decir que son mucho los regalos que he recibido de ellos. Principalmente sus valores y costumbres pues siento que han sido mi más grande fortaleza para crecer como profesional y ser humano y me han llevado hasta donde estoy hoy en día. Ese es uno de los obsequios que más valoró pues se que crecer en un buen hogar no es la suerte de muchos y eso lleva a marcar parte su vida. Luego de eso también esta el hecho de tener un gusto por la musica y el baile por lo que es algo que consideró adquirí y aprendí de ellos, pues mi papá era un gran amante de la música, tocando diferentes instrumentos como el cuatro, guitarra, piano, bajo, maracas y mucho más, y mi mamá tiene una voz realmente privilegiada la cual es reconocida como la más hermosa de la familia.
Pues esa es una habilidad que comparto con ambos el amor por la música, el canto y baile. Además el don de poder enseñar y transmitir mi conocimientos con facilidad, mi madre al igual que yo se dedicaba a enseñar y creo que verla desde pequeña con esa devoción hacia la educación acrecentó ese sentimiento en mí, por esa razón decidí unir mis dos pasiones, la biología y la educación. Actualmente es una de las cosas que más disfruto pues compartir con los niños y saber que estas representando un cambio en ellos y dejando esa pequeña semilla no solo con conocimiento sino también con valores es algo que consideró único y reconfortante. A pesar de que actualmente en mí país no sea un trabajo remunerado como lo merece.

Another thing is to stay calm in times of crisis, just like my father, because when a difficult situation arose, he always told us to calm down, calm down, all this will pass. And those words represent a mantra for me, because I repeat them when the situation warrants it, remembering his words and his actions. I organize myself to achieve my goals and fulfill them within my limits, and I often sit down to admire my work or what I have managed to do, because that is the best way to motivate myself.
I am very characterized by responsibility, because something that my parents always shared, the fact of keeping in mind your commitments and basing ourselves on facts and not on excuses. Also honesty and being humble is something fundamental in my family. Basing ourselves on what we are and not on what we have, because something we keep in mind is that one day you have everything and the next you have nothing.
My parents gave me a wonderful family because together with my brothers we form the big round table (laughs) we are musketeers, who often have differences and different personalities, we are always there for each other. That is something that characterizes me, I am very family-oriented and I value those people who always remember where they come from.
Otra cosa es mantener la calma en los momentos de crisis al igual que mi padre pues cuando una dura situación siempre nos decía calma, calma, todo eso va a pasar. Y esa palabras representan un mantra para mí pues la repito cuando la situación lo amerida, recordando sus palabras y su actuar. Me organizo para lograr mis metas y cumplir dentro de mis límites y me siento muchas veces a admirar mi trabajo o lo que conseguido hacer pues esa es la mejor manera de incentivarte.
Me caracteriza mucho la responsabilidad, pues algo que mis padres siempre compartían, el hecho de tener presente tus compromisos y basarnos en los hechos y no en las excusas. También la honestidad y ser humilde es algo fundamental en mi familia. Basarnos en lo que somos y no en lo que tenemos pues algo que tenemos presente es que un día tienes todo y al otro no tienes nada.
Mis padres me dieron una familia maravillosa pues junto a mis hermanos formamos la gran mesa redonda (risas) somos mosqueteros, los cuales muchas veces tenemos diferencias y personalidades distintas siempre estamos para el otro. Eso es algo que me caracteriza soy muy familiar y valoro mucho aquellas personas que siempre tienen presente de donde vienen.
In short, my parents gave me not one but many gifts and the main one was having them as parents and having given me a wonderful family and a home that, despite the difficulties, was always full of love and understanding.

En fin, mis padres no me dieron uno sino muchos regalos y el principal de ellos fue tenerlos como padres y haberme dado una familia maravillosa y un hogar que a pesar de las dificultades siempre estuvo lleno de amor y comprensión.
