I am going to tell you the essence of my name and why my mother gave me that identity.
Para empezar tener una identidad es lo mas importante que nos han dejado nuestros antepasados, que nos llamen por nuestros nombres es para mi una melodía a mi oído, es lo que nos identifica, nos marca y acá en mi país es un derecho establecido en nuestras leyes. Ahora si preparence para leer el origen de mi nombre.

Mi nombre es MENFI OLIERMINA...así como leen. Según me cuenta mi mama cuando fueron a presentarme en el registro la secretaria le pregunto señora como se llama su hija, ella le dijo MEMPHYS y le recalco escribalo con PHY, la secretaria elabora la partida de nacimiento y cuando mi mama la lee le dice Señorita le dije con PHY, usted escribió mal el nombre de mi hija, la señora se molesto y le dijo "lo siento se quedara así, no pienso cambiarla" Dios jeje.
My name is MENFI OLIERMINA...just as you read. According to my mom when they went to present me at the registry the secretary asked her what your daughter's name was, she told her MEMPHYS and I emphasized write it with PHY, the secretary made the birth certificate and when my mom read it she said Miss I told you with PHY, you wrote my daughter's name wrong, the lady was upset and said "I'm sorry it will stay that way, I will not change it" God hehe.
Osea que a inicios mi nombre era MEMPHYS. Aja y después le digo madre ahora dígame de donde saco ese nombre jeje, ya que desde el inicio se escribe de otra manera, me dijo, pues del libro mas maravilloso del mundo La Biblia, ya por allí empezó bien jeje también me dijo Menfi es una ciudad del antiguo Egipto importante por su economía, eso también me gusto porque indicaba que seria una mujer proyectada económicamente jeje y así fue. nunca considere mi nombre feo, al contrario siempre me gusto porque no era muy común, hoy en día si jeje claro no se escribe igual pero si conozco personas llamadas como yo.
So in the beginning my name was MEMPHYS. OLIERMINA es mi segundo nombre. Con sinceridad no me gustaba, mi madre es experta inventando nombres, cuando nací era algo así como consentida por mi tía hermana de mi papa que se llama OLIVIA y mi abuela paterna que se llamaba GUILLERMINA jeje así que como pueden darse cuenta es un ligaito de Olivia-Guillermina. Como casi nunca pronuncio mi segundo nombre mis amigos y allegados para molestarme me dicen OLIERMINA jeje antes molestaba ahora no.
OLIERMINA is my middle name. Honestly I didn't like it, my mother is an expert in inventing names, when I was born I was kind of spoiled by my dad's aunt sister who is called OLIVIA and my paternal grandmother who was called GUILLERMINA hehe so as you can see it's a little league of Olivia-Guillermina. As I almost never pronounce my middle name my friends and relatives call me OLIERMINA hehehe before it was annoying but now it is not.
Siempre ha sido una curiosidad para mi el origen de mis nombres hice mis propias averiguaciones y me siento orgullosa de ello. Menfi aparte de ser la capital de Egipto, es una población de Italia, pero sobre todo su significado bíblico es "Lugar del Bueno", osea que mi madre supo escoger mi nombre y actualmente me encantan los dos jeje.
It has always been a curiosity for me the origin of my names, I did my own research and I am proud of it. Menfi apart from being the capital of Egypt, is a town in Italy, but above all its biblical meaning is "Place of the Good", so my mother knew how to choose my name and actually I love both of them hehe.
Una vez entramos a un restauran en mi país llamado MEMPHYS y estaban haciendo un concurso si algún visitante se llamaba como el restauran todo era gratuito jeje, pues adivine que me gane el concurso jaja, no podían creer que me llamaba así. Que maravilloso un nombre muy interesante, espero que al igual que la ciudad sean igualmente productiva, y bueno eso de combinar nombre en mi familia no se io pero con mis compañeros de estudios sufrí mucho y terminabamos haciendoles diminutivos, jeje

Amiga @oli1965 me ha encantado tu nombre. Lo primero que se me vino a la mente mientras te leía era la ciudad egipcia y pensé en riqueza, elegancia, oro, brillo. Por otra parte que forma maravillosa de honrar a tu tía y tu abuela por el lado paterno. Quizás tengas algunas características parecidas a ellas dos, sería interesante que indagaras a ver que descubres.

Bueno esa forma de honrarla con honestidad no me gusto en un principio jeje, pero después le agarre cariñito a mi segundo nombre porque es extraño y en cuanto a mi segundo nombre viéndolo bien no se lo he es escuchado a nadie ahora que escribo este post creo que ni en internet jeje.
