Estamos cerca del 14 de febrero día de San Valentín ,un día comercial inspirado en un sacerdote que realizaba matrimonios secretos durante la época de persecución a la iglesia cristiana en la época del imperio romano, durante esta época esté prohibía este tipo de uniones para evitar que creciera el cristianismo en el imperio . Este día ha sido catalogado como el Día del Amor y la amistad.
Con relación al día de San Valentín recordé que en mi adolescencia en Venezuela surgió en el ambiente musical un grupo llamado Sentimiento Muerto, aunque inicio en 1981, hizo presencia en medios radiales en 1985 con temas como temas como un agradable Calor y Culebrón. La primera vez que los escuche fue a través de Radio Difusora Venezuela, una emisora pionera en la difusión del rock en español en Venezuela. Para 1987 bajo la producción de Fito Páez re grabaron temas de los dos casetes que los hicieron conocidos y lo titularon El Amor ya no existe, hay que hacerlo.
El título del disco me llamaba mucho la atención ya que a primera vista parecía tener un contenido erótico, pero realmente encerraba una de las verdades más grandes e incomprendida a pesar de que hablamos de hace más de 35 años.
Cuando era joven preguntaba a mis compañeros de trabajo que era el amor para ellos, siempre decían cosas como que sentían mariposas en el estomago , otros no sabían que decir ,a pesar de tener novias y novios. Yo tenia una costumbre de decir que para mi , el amor no existía , ya que es un concepto abstracto e intangible, creo que asustaba a las chicas por que no decía las cosas de forma bonita . Notaba que muchos lo asociaban con apegos emocionales hacia una persona, la sed de ser amado, ser reconocido como alguien importante, hasta dependencia por búsqueda de aprobación o dependencia económica.
Para comprender mejor que es el amor debemos tener claro dos conceptos, el enamoramiento y el amor. El enamoramiento es la idealización de una persona ,donde solo vemos aquellas cosas positivas en las personas ,sin detenerse a ver las cosas negativas que pueden tener en cuanto a actitudes frente a los problemas, nivel de cultura ,personalidad ,gustos musicales ,gastronómicos, sexuales etc. El enamoramiento es emoción pasional, es algo efímero, y transitorio. Durante esta fase, los enamorados no se conocen mutuamente, y por ello, ven todo lo que hacen, dicen y les rodea como correcto e ideal.
Mientras las personas son novios, debido a que no conviven juntos, no se puede ver todos los detalles particulares de la persona que no necesariamente sean de nuestro agrado. Pero es importante conversar de todos estos temas y sincerarse las parejas, para evaluar si son tolerables o no, para evitar un fracaso si llegan a unirse en matrimonio.
¿Ahora que significa que es el amor?
El amor significa que la relación de la pareja se basa en trabajar juntos para tener una constante actitud de solidaridad, respeto, tolerancia, compromiso, ganas de compartir y perdonar. El amor no es una emoción es una decisión.
¿Porque la frase dice el amor ya no existe, hay que hacerlo?.
Para tener amor hay que trabajar en él, tenemos que hacer actividades donde puedan desarrollar la solidaridad, respeto, tolerancia, compromiso entre una pareja y hacer que esta sea una decisión y no una imposición . Si una de la pareja pierde el respeto, la tolerancia y la capacidad de perdonar, se pierde la relación, se pierde el amor si lo hubo o lo peor puede ser que nunca hubo amor, cuando el enamoramiento se terminó, se perdió todo ya que nunca se trabajó en hacer el amor.
Si las diferencias que exista la pareja la pueden hablar y buscar junto soluciones es lo ideal, pero si terminan en discusión, y una de las partes pierde el control de sus emociones puede suceder que el uso de palabras ofensivas e hirientes pueden dejar huella en la psiquis de la otra persona y muy difícilmente puede ser superado o perdonado por la persona.
Esto en ocasiones origina que una de las partes o ambas ya no quieran estar compartiendo mucho tiempo con la pareja. Esto se pudo observar mucho durante la pandemia de covid en el 2019-2020 que muchas parejas entraban en tantos conflictos ,ya que tuvieron que pasar más tiempo junto y fue detonante de muchas separaciones.
Con esta reflexión los dejo , el amor no existe, hay que trabajar en el, hay que hacerlo.

I had a habit of saying that for me, love did not exist, because it is an abstract and intangible concept, I think it scared the girls because I did not say things in a nice way. I noticed that many associated it with emotional attachments to a person, the thirst to be loved, to be recognised as someone important, even dependence by seeking approval or economic dependence.
To better understand what love is, we must be clear about two concepts, infatuation and love. Infatuation is the idealisation of a person, where we only see the positive things in people, without stopping to see the negative things they may have in terms of attitudes towards problems, level of culture, personality, musical, gastronomic, sexual tastes, etc. Falling in love is a passionate emotion, it is ephemeral and transitory. During this phase, the lovers do not know each other, and therefore, they see everything they do, say and surround them as correct and ideal.
While people are dating, because they do not live together, it is not possible to see all the particular details of the person that are not necessarily to our liking. But it is important to talk about all these issues and to be honest with each other, to assess whether they are tolerable or not, in order to avoid a failure if they get married.
Now what does love mean?
Love means that a couple's relationship is based on working together to have a constant attitude of solidarity, respect, tolerance, commitment, sharing and forgiveness. Love is not an emotion, it is a decision.
Why does the phrase "love no longer exists, it must be done"?
To have love we have to work on it, we have to do activities where we can develop solidarity, respect, tolerance, commitment between a couple and make it a decision and not an imposition. If one of the couple loses respect, tolerance and the capacity to forgive, the relationship is lost, the love is lost if there was any, or the worst thing can be that there was never love, when the infatuation is over, everything is lost because they never worked on making love.
If the differences that exist between the couple can be discussed and solutions sought together is ideal, but if they end in discussion, and one of the parties loses control of their emotions it can happen that the use of offensive and hurtful words can leave a mark on the psyche of the other person and very difficult to be overcome or forgiven by the person.
This sometimes results in one or both parties no longer wanting to spend much time with the partner. This could be observed a lot during the covid pandemic in 2019-2020 that many couples entered into so many conflicts because they had to spend more time together and it was the trigger for many separations.
With this reflection I leave you, love does not exist, you have to work on it, you have to do it.
