Entre bellas y espinosas trinitarias / Among beautiful and thorny trinitarias (ESP /ENG)

in Holos&Lotus2 years ago

This is a climbing shrub, a vine plant that can reach heights of seven meters, and they say more, although personally I have not had the experience of finding them so high. Well, what I do know is that although it is a climbing plant, it does not represent a problem for it that where it is located there is no place to climb with its very thorny branches and beautiful white, fuchsia, pink or purple flowers, no gentlemen, it still spreads and grows happily and perfectly well.

A curious feature is that the trinitaria uses its very green leaves as a kind of support to gather the flowers, resembling beautiful bouquets, as you can see in the photographs.

It is attributed to the trinitaria some medicinal properties of which I do not know its certainty. It is good to remember that it is of utmost importance, before ingesting any type of preparation made with any plant, to have sufficient information and from credible and suitable sources, to avoid unnecessary risks.

This plant, due to its sharp thorns and the thickness of its branches, is frequently used as a protective fence in some places, which obviously turns any fence into a showy and beautiful wall of flowers.

Carla, my cute, witty and clever little girl, that little neighbor I have mentioned on other occasions, and who has the fascinating ability to disorganize my neurons, says she has "serious suspicions" that the small flowers of the trinitaria are actually snowflakes that magic, which is everywhere, according to her, turns into white flowers and then the wind blows them around, and then the wind and the birds bring them to us from Mérida (Venezuela) to here, "of course on the way many trees give them leaves and twigs until they become plants, oh, and the thorns are to protect themselves during the trip, you know there are some curious little birds that annoy them with their beaks. Then, when they arrive here, the wind and the birds drop the trinitarias on the land and it is when the soil and the rain help them to take root. Those trinitarias with white flowers that you see, I imagine that they are the ones that travel when it has rained without sun, but when it rains and the sun also comes out, the rainbow comes and paints them in colors and that is why some are white and others are fuchsia, purple, etc.", she says.... You can imagine that listening to this little girl means a happy event for me
