SOME IMPRESSION FROM THE TRAIN BETWEEN GOTTHARD AND ZUG
Hello dear friends,
I spent Christmas with my brother and family in Biel, and because I can never sit still on the train,I started to taking some photos en route.
We passed by the old Gotthard road because the tunnel is still closed due to a derailment of a freight train this summer.
The title picture is taken on Lake of Zug, while below you see the view from the Gotthard area until Zug.

Ciao cari amici,
ho passato il Natale con mio fratello e la famiglia a Biel, e in treno, siccome non riesco mai a stare ferma, mi sono appiccicata ai vetri a scattare qualche foto mentre ero in viaggio.
Siamo passati dalla strada vecchia del Gottardo perché la galleria é ancora chiusa a causa di un deragliamento di un treno merce quest'estate.
La prima foto in alto é scattata sul lago di Zugo, mentre qui sotto vedete il panorama partendo dalla zona del Gottardo fino a Zugo.

Questo é il lago dei quattro cantoni,
And this is the Lake of Zug.
Mentre questo é il lago di Zugo.
Obviously the quality of the pictures is not very good because I toke them with my phone and the train was moving, but I hope you still like my impressions.

So you got to see some landscape instead of going through the tunnel.
Strange, my own railway experience in Canada was that we cleared up even the worse derailments within a week.
Exactly, der neue Tunnel ist zwar schnell aber lang, so hab ich etwas mehr von der Reise gesehen 😄

Great photos!
As I moved early this year from central Switzerland to the Southwestern part of Switzerland, I really miss lake Lucerne and this region.
I imagine, it's a nice area... but in Ticino we have more sun 😅
It is actually great to see that you spend the quality time holiday of Christmas with your family as that is what matters most

The quality of the pictures is not bad at all ;) I find it good and the most important thing is the experience you had at such a beautiful place, i wish i could be there and sitting on the edge of river and keep seeing it for the whole day.

I'm glad the train journey didn't turn out to be a boring experience, I think you made the best of the time by using your smartphone well. The scenery you've shared are all stunning, I don't think the camera quality in any way diminishes their beauty, it obvious.

I myself like the train journey very much. One can travel in it with peace and tranquility. In such beautiful places, there is time within the holidays to go here and enjoy life by seeing these beautiful and natural thousands.
