A Photographic Production in the Old House in Belgrano, BA [ENG/ESP]

The world of photography is huge and you always have something new to learn, I think it is necessary to be trained as an integral photographer, being able to do all kinds of photography ranging from macro, street, long exposure, landscapes, architecture, portraits, nature among many others. This post is related to boudoir style portrait photography with @rop1, together we worked on this production in La Casona de Aguilar, a place located in the autonomous city of Buenos Aires in the neighborhood of Belgrano.

We have already done sessions on several occasions and I consider that we are a good team not only in the photographic or technical field but in the compatibility between us, because we know each other and we have a friendship, it is much more comfortable and enjoyable sessions and we really have a lot of fun.

El mundo de la fotografía es gigantesco y siempre tienes algo nuevo que aprender, yo considero que es necesario formarse como un fotógrafo integral, siendo capaz de hacer todo tipo de fotografías que van desde macro, street, larga exposición, paisajes, arquitectura, retratos, naturaleza entre muchos otros. Este post va relacionado a la fotografía de retratos de estilo boudoir junto a @rop1, juntos trabajamos en ésta producción en La Casona de Aguilar, lugar situado en la ciudad autónoma de Buenos Aires en el barrio de Belgrano.

Ya en varias oportunidades hemos hecho sesiones y considero que somos un buen equipo no solo en el ámbito fotográfico o técnico sino en la compatibilidad entre nosotros, por conocernos y haber una amistad es mucho más cómoda y amena las sesiones y realmente nos divertimos mucho.

We decided to do the production in this place because it is quite peculiar, it is an old house that has about a century and the aesthetics of an abandoned house that gives us the opportunity for a particular and special theme. The number of spaces it has is not enough for a session of a few hours, so we took advantage of only some spaces that seemed interesting to us.

As usual we always choose the boudoir style with which we feel comfortable, highlighting the sensuality in the most natural way possible, leaving aside the glamour that would be another style.

Decidimos hacer la producción en este lugar porque es bastante peculiar, se trata de una casa antigua que tiene alrededor de un siglo y la estética de casa abandonada que nos da la oportunidad de una temática particular y especial. Los números espacios que tiene no alcanza para una sesión de pocas horas, así que aprovechamos solo algunos espacios que nos parecieron interesantes.

Cómo de costumbre siempre elegimos el estilo boudoir con el cual nos sentimos cómodos, resaltando la sensualidad de la forma más natural posible, dejando a un lado el glamour que ya sería otro estilo.

For this type of photography there are multiple ways of working, many people tend to do it in studios with backgrounds and direct current lights, personally I do not like it very much because I look for a better concept with places that express something more and make the compositions more interesting, besides I feel more comfortable using natural light, however I do not close myself to the idea of someday doing something in studio.

Today I want to share some photos of this production with black and white variations as well, that way you can appreciate the work in different styles and have a broader vision. I'm the kind of person who also sometimes thinks that certain types of photos are meant to be in black and white and not in color, but here we have both 🙂 We have a lot more themes in mind to work on.

Para este tipo de fotografías existen múltiples formas de trabajar, muchas personas suelen hacerlo en estudios con fondos y luces de corriente continua, en lo personal no me agrada mucho ya que busco un mejor concepto con lugares que expresen algo más y hagas más interesante las composiciones, además de que me siento más cómodo usando luz natural, sin embargo no me cierro a la idea de algún día hacer algo en estudio.

El día de hoy quiero compartir algunas fotos de ésta producción con variaciones en blanco y negro además, de esa forma pueden apreciar el trabajo en diferentes estilos y tener una visión más amplia. Soy el tipo de persona que además en algunas ocasiones piensa que cierto tipo de fotos están hechas para ser en blanco y negro y no a color, pero acá tenemos de las dos 🙂
