I have a 100mm Tokina macro lens, which I bought way back in 2007, when my obsession with taking insect photos and identifying insects reached insane levels (I'm not kidding, I even skipped work and spent days looking for insect ID's in specialized websites).... I joined entomology groups and spent weekends in the mountains taking pictures of insects while camping.
Tengo un lente para Macros Tokina de 100mm, el cual compré allende el año 2007, cuando mi obsesión por hacer fotos de insectos e identificarlos llegó a niveles realmente insanos (no estoy bromeando, llegué a faltar al trabajo y a pasar días enteros buscando ID's de insectos en paginas especializadas)... Me afilié a grupos de entomología y pasaba los fines de semana en las montañas haciendo fotos de insectos mientras acampaba.

Time has passed and my old lens is still with me... It's a bit worn on the outside and has a couple of small dead fungi on one of its lenses, but I'm not going to take it apart for something so small, so I just gave it a good ultraviolet bath to prevent further growth.
El tiempo ha pasado y mi viejo lente sigue aquí conmigo... Está un poco gastado en su exterior y tiene un par de pequeños hongos muertos en uno de sus cristales, pero no pienso desarmarlo por algo tan pequeño, así que solo le di un buen baño ultravioleta para evitar que siguieran creciendo.

Over the years my obsession with insects and other types of arthropods has waned noticeably, to the point that nowadays I rarely use my 100mm lens, except for portraits or even street photography (that's a bit unusual with this type of lens, but it has given me good results).
Con el paso de los años mi obsesión por los insectos y otros tipos de artrópodos fue decayendo sensiblemente, hasta el punto que hoy en día uso muy poco mi lente de 100mm, salvo que se para hacer algún retrato o inclusive lo usado para fotografías callejeras (eso es algo un poco inusual con este tipo de lentes, pero me ha dado buen resultado).

The truth is that during this afternoon I took my lens out of my backpack and put it on my (also old and noble) Nikon D7000... This is a combination of more than 1.250 grams hanging around my neck!.... Now I understand why I stopped taking pictures of insects ha ha ha :-) ... It's not the same at 35 years old than after 50!...
Lo cierto es que durante la tarde de hoy saqué mi lente de la mochila y lo coloqué en mi (también vieja y noble) Nikon D7000... ¡Esta es una combinación de más de 1.250 gramos colgada en mi cuello!... Ahora entiendo porqué dejé de hacer fotos de insectos ha ha ha :-) ... ¡No es lo mismo a los 35 años que después de los 50!...

I'm a bit rusty doing macros, but these are the photos of that rewarding exercise today.... I made macros of almost everything I could find and tried as many different settings as possible... Years ago I could adjust everything very instinctively as soon as I saw the desired scene, but today I'm a bit out of practice... So I think I will have to repeat a few afternoons of "Yoga" with my Tokina 100 on a regular basis.
Estoy un poco oxidado haciendo macros, pero estas son las fotos de ese gratificante ejercicio de hoy.... Hice macros de casi todo lo que encontré al alcance y probé los ajustes lo más diversos posibles... Años atrás yo podía ajustar todo de manera muy instintiva apenas observaba la escena deseada, pero hoy estoy un poco fuera de práctica... Así que creo que tendré que repetir nuevamente algunas tardes de "Yoga" con mi Tokina 100 regularmente.

This is my "old, faithful and noble" Nikon D7000 with Tokina AT-X 100 mm f/2.8 Pro D lens .... I think they've been living together for more than 11 years now (I bought the D7000 in 2011).... They're a couple of chubby oldies but lovely!.... Which makes them much better people than me!.... Because I'm overweight, yes.... But there's nothing charming about me!.. ha ha ha ;-)

Creo quellevan ya más de 11 años conviviendo (La D7000 la compré en 2011)... ¡Son un par de viejitos regordetes pero encantadores!... Cosa lo cual los hace bastante mejores personas que yo!... Porque yo estoy pasado de peso, sí... ¡Pero no tengo nada de encantador!.. ha ha ha ;-)

Excelentes capturas amigo como siempre y muy imponente la mirada de Yoda, que es perfecto para la ocasión con fotografías macro.
Mil gracias @wilfredocav por pasrar por aquí y apreciar... "Yoda" siempre tan dispuesto a dejarse hacer fotos... je je je... Es uno de mis dos gatos machos, es diminuto aunque ya es un adulto, de pequeño era tan feo y pequeño que nunca quise darlo en adopción por temor a que no lo fueran a querer después, pues su tamaño en comparación con sus hermanos era mucho menor... Ta tiene dos años con nosotros, ahora es "hermoso"... ¡Pero igual de pequeño, apenas pesa 1 Kg!... ha ha ha... ¡Así que es como mi gato de bolsillo!... :)) Duerme con nosotros y casi no molesta, salvo cuando huye hacia nuestros pies para que nuestro otro gato macho no lo agreda (Pío, un enorme atigrado gris que es poco amigable pero bellísimo)... Pero bueno, ahí vamos... En modo "vecindad" con los gatos he he he... Saludos, Dios los bendiga a ustedes por allá.... Feliz fin de semana.
