Nosehill is a large, hilly, grassland natural area that straddles the NW and NE quadrants of Calgary. It is a great place to overlook the city and have a moment where you can just take the world in without anyone around. I enjoy doing landscapes here because the sky is so big, the land is open, and you can get some solid horizons. Once the sun goes down, it gets dark quickly, so I rush a little more as the light begins to fade. I enjoy trying to get the most out of the sky and the clouds when the backlit glow of the day recedes and the stars come out.
