I was trying to catch the individual raindrops with my macro lens, and I discovered that it was both very difficult and also quite mesmerizing watching the water fall and hit the puddle. Things are happening so fast that I don't quite realize what I am capturing until after. I felt like I wasn't really getting anything until I saw the little streaks that I caught, and the little beads of water that would splash as they hit were quite neat when you look closer at them. The shallow depth of field from the macro lens and settings I was using helped create a really narrow slice where everything is sharp and you can catch some of the finer details of the water.
