Parte 1: Miradas

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la primera parte de esta trilogía, esperando que sea de su agrado.

Today I want to share with you the first part of this trilogy, hoping you like it.
Les presento a Rita, una mujer de mediana edad, madre de cuatro hijos. Trabajadora, activa, amante de su familia. Hogareña y con un inmenso amor por sus padres. Una mujer guerrera, y, como dicen por ahí, padre y madre a la vez. Rita había sufrido mucho en su matrimonio, por eso decidió poner fin a esa situación y se divorció. Aún así no perdía la esperanza de que algún día la vida le proveyera un buen hombre, responsable, y que la llegara a querer a ella y a sus hijos, dos de los cuales eran pequeños. Steve de 8 años y Tina de 7. Sus dos hijas mayores ya se habían independizado por lo tanto no vivían con ella. La rutina diaria de Rita era predecible: llevar a sus niños a la escuela y luego irse al trabajo.
I introduce you to Rita, a middle-aged woman, mother of four children. Hard-working, active, loving her family. A homebody with an immense love for her parents. A warrior woman, and, as they say, father and mother at the same time. Rita had suffered a lot in her marriage, so she decided to put an end to that situation and got divorced. Still, she never lost hope that someday life would provide her with a good, responsible man who would come to love her and her children, two of whom were young. Steve, 8, and Tina, 7. Her two older daughters were already independent and therefore did not live with her. Rita's daily routine was predictable: take her children to school and then go to work.
Un día como tantos otros al llegar a la empresa estacionó su vehículo y se dirigió hacia la oficina. Subió rápidamente porque se había retrasado un poco debido a un percance que ocurrió con el automóvil. Ella se tomaba muy en serio su responsabilidad de ser puntual. Era jefe de Departamento y debía dar el ejemplo. "Pero bueno, a veces suceden imprevistos" pensó. Al entrar a la oficina la estaba esperando el jefe de Recursos Humanos para presentarle tres nuevos empleados que ingresaban ese día a la empresa. Rita los observó y hubo uno que llamó poderosamente su atención. Era moreno, de mediana estatura, bonita sonrisa y más o menos de su misma edad. Se miraron y el corazón de Rita latió con fuerzas. Inmediatamente desvió la mirada. El jefe le presentó a los empleados, dos de los cuales irían a trabajar al Departamento de Contabilidad y el otro sería asistente de Rita. Y justamente el que se quedaría con ella fue el que captó su atención desde el primer momento. Se llamaba César. Luego de retirarse los demás Rita comenzó a explicarle a César en qué consistía su trabajo. El día transcurrió bastante ajetreado, y eso le permitió a Rita darse cuenta de que César era bastante competente y sobre todo muy organizado. Al culminar la jornada él se despidió pero ella continuó en la oficina para poder terminar ya que ciertas cosas se retrasaron debido a que había llegado tarde a la oficina.
One day, like so many others, she parked her car and drove to the office. She got in quickly because she was running a little late due to a car mishap. She took her responsibility to be on time very seriously. She was a department head and had to set an example. "But hey, sometimes the unexpected happens," she thought. As she entered the office, the head of Human Resources was waiting for her to introduce her to three new employees who were joining the company that day. Rita looked at them and one of them caught her attention. He was dark-haired, of medium height, with a nice smile and about her own age. They looked at each other and Rita's heart pounded. She immediately looked away. The boss introduced her to the employees, two of whom would go to work in the Accounting Department and the other would be Rita's assistant. And the one who would be staying with her was the one who caught her attention from the very first moment. His name was César. After the others left, Rita began to explain to César what her job consisted of. The day was quite busy, and that allowed Rita to realize that César was quite competent and above all very organized. At the end of the day he said goodbye but she continued to stay in the office to finish as some things were delayed due to her late arrival at the office.
Rita hizo una llamada a su hija mayor a quien había dejado encargada de retirar a los niños de la escuela. Luego de asegurarse de que estaban bien pudo concluir su trabajo. Salió de allí casi a las 10:00 de la noche. Sumamente agotada se dirigió a casa.
La jornada diaria de Rita se repetía casi sin ninguna alteración, y aún así ella era feliz. El compromiso y la responsabilidad que tenía con sus hijos la impulsaba a seguir adelante. También encontraba otros momentos de felicidad visitando a sus padres los fines de semana. Iban todos en familia. Allí disfrutaban de juegos, comidas, y amenas conversaciones. Eran días alegres. De paz y tranquilidad. Llenos de mucho amor.
Luego volvía a la rutina del trabajo, pero con ánimos renovados.
Rita made a call to her oldest daughter whom she had left in charge of picking up the children from school. After making sure they were okay she was able to finish her work. She left the office at almost 10:00 pm. Extremely exhausted, she headed home.
Rita's daily routine repeated itself almost without any alteration, and still she was happy. The commitment and responsibility she had to her children kept her going. She also found other moments of happiness visiting her parents on weekends. They would all go as a family. There they would enjoy games, meals, and pleasant conversations. They were joyful days. Of peace and tranquility. Filled with lots of love.
Then it was back to the routine of work, but with renewed spirits.
Un día llegó a la empresa y era bastante temprano. Al entrar a la oficina vió que ya César estaba allí. Había preparado café y muy amablemente le ofreció una taza a Rita. Ella le agradeció el gesto y acto seguido se sentó frente a su escritorio y comenzó a beber tan delicioso café. César la miraba con insistencia y ella no podía evitar mirarlo también. Esa situación se repetía a diario. Podía decirse que se " hablaban" con la mirada. En uno de esos momentos César encontró la oportunidad de confesarle que estaba enamorado de ella. Rita se sentía en las nubes. Era tan romántico. Así que emocionada ella le dijo que sentía lo mismo. En los días siguientes él se comportaba como todo un caballero. La llenaba de hermosos detalles. A Rita no le cabía ninguna duda; había encontrado el amor. Casi cuatro meses después de conocerse se comprometieron e inmediatamente se casaron. Y eso que Rita estaba consciente de que no conocía casi nada de la vida de César.
One day he arrived at the company and it was quite early. When she entered the office she saw that César was already there. He had prepared coffee and very kindly offered Rita a cup. She thanked him for the gesture and immediately sat down in front of his desk and began to drink the delicious coffee. César looked at her insistently and she couldn't help but look at him too. This situation was repeated daily. It could be said that they "talked" to each other with their eyes. In one of those moments César found the opportunity to confess to her that he was in love with her. Rita felt on cloud nine. It was so romantic. So excitedly she told him she felt the same way. In the following days he behaved like a gentleman. He showered her with beautiful details. There was no doubt in Rita's mind; she had found love. Almost four months after they met, they got engaged and immediately married. Rita was aware that she knew almost nothing about César's life.
Wow mi querida amiga! Impactante final para la primera parte, la verdad no me la esperaba para nada y me impresionó por completo.
Voy a tener que conseguir una pelota anti-estrés o cotufas para las partes 2 y 3, las pensaba leer ya, pero no tengo nada de eso así que pospondré su lectura, me dejas en ansias jajajaja.
Ojalá ese amor a primera vista pueda funcionar. Imagino que debe ser muy difícil para una mujer madre soltera conocer a un buen hombre con el que compartir la vida. Pero yo siempre he pensado que el que persevera termina alcanzado sus objetivos tarde o temprano. La vida siempre da otras oportunidades.

That is one thing about love, it can be met in so many dimensions, and who knows, it was always Rita's wish to find a man who would love and adore her so adorably but never did she know, it would be in her office that her rightful man would be met.
I am happy she was able to fulfill her heart desires, a good loving story.
