MEJORES AMIGOS
Lucía y Paulo eran amigos desde muy chicos. Sus padres habían sido también amigos desde la infancia y ellos habían permanecido fieles a esa tradición. Se llevaban muy bien y se querían bastante y pasaban todo el tiempo junto. Iban juntos a la escuela, hacían juntos la tarea, jugaban y hablaban. Eran inseparables.
Un día algo pasó entre ellos que terminó con esa amistad. Por más que sus padres intentaron solucionar el problema, Lucía y Paulo dejaron de ser amigos.
Muchos años después, cuando ya ambos eran adultos, se encontraron de nuevo. Cuando Lucía miró a Paulo sintió un amor tan fuerte que no pudo resistirse y lo besó. Paulo se quedó atónito. ‘Ahora que tengo familia y me va bien quieres que estemos juntos, cuando esa fue la razón por la que dejamos de hablar hace años…’ Y se fue muy enojado.
Unos meses más tarde la llamó y le pidió que se encontraran. ‘Lucía, has sido lo más lindo que me ha dado la vida y siempre voy a estar agradecido contigo por haber estado conmigo en las buenas y en las malas, te amo, bastante, pero como amigos; y siendo mi mejor amiga en serio me haría muy feliz que conocieras a mi familia’. Lucía entendió que Paulo estaba felizmente casado, que tenía hijos y que a pesar de todo, ellos siempre iban a ser mejores amigos. Y a partir de ese día volvieron a ser los mejores amigos inseparables que eran antes.

Lucia and Paulo had been friends since they were very young. Their parents had also been friends since childhood and they had remained faithful to that tradition. They got along very well and loved each other very much and spent all their time together. They went to school together, did homework together, played and talked. They were inseparable.
One day something happened between them that ended that friendship. As much as their parents tried to solve the problem, Lucia and Paulo stopped being friends.
Many years later, when they were both adults, they met again. When Lucia looked at Paulo she felt such a strong love that she could not resist and kissed him. Paulo was stunned. 'Now that I have a family and I'm doing well you want us to be together, when that was the reason we stopped talking years ago...' And he left very angry.
A few months later he called her and asked to meet. 'Lucia, you have been the nicest thing that life has given me and I will always be grateful to you for having been with me through thick and thin, I love you, quite a lot, but as friends; and being my best friend seriously it would make me very happy for you to meet my family'. Lucia understood that Paulo was happily married, that he had children and that despite everything, they were always going to be best friends. And from that day on they went back to being the inseparable best friends they were before.
