Everybody was excited to witness the marriage of their Emperor to one of the most beautiful woman they had ever seen on earth, Rachel. The Emperor had promised to be a changed man and a better leader to his people ever since the day he met Rachel.

He had been a bad leader and a wicked dictator to the whole Empire, a very good reason for the people to love his new wife who they all believed was the reason behind his change of heart.
Rachel was a perfect lady for any man as she grew up with her grandmother who nurtured her to be strong and very caring towards people. It had been foretold that she would meet her love in the empire but she never knew it was the Emperor himself.
Rachel felt so lucky to get married to him but something kept feeling off for her, she could feel herself craving for more and not exactly the life she was living as the Emperor's wife.
The Emperor had all the slaves take care of Rachel's needs, she never had to do anything aside fulfilling her marital rites in the Emperor's bedroom and spending time with nature at the Palace garden.
Rachel developed a new passion to take boredom away and that was caring for beds and plants, she would spend all her days at the garden and all her nights in her husband's bedroom, they both hardly talked about themselves.
Rachel continued to keep her pains in as she thought she had already signed up for such a life when she agreed to marry the Emperor, it wasn't like she had a choice to reject his proposal except she wanted to lose her grandmother.
As the wife of an Emperor who changed his ways, people respected her so much and would always visit to bestow gifts on her. They were all looking forward to the day she would get pregnant and give birth to their next Emperor.
Even though Rachel felt having a child would help her have more fun days in the Palace, she was aso certain she wasn't going to be as happy as when she married the right person who would love and spend time with her unlike what the Emperor did.
But the thought of leaving the Palace never came across her mind as she thought her grandmother deserved the good life she had been having since her marriage. It's been two years of faking happiness, Rachel met the new butler.
Frank, the new butler was so handsome and young, he was a perfection in Rachel's eyes. She began to fall for him whenever she sees him especially at the dining room, she never misses a day's meal just because she wanted to see him.
Frank had just got back from his hometown to take the appointment of being a butler at the Palace, he was surprised to see that Rachel was the lady the Emperor got married to. He had been watching her since they were kids and had loved her since then but never got to tell her about his feelings.
While Rachel was busy crushing on him, Frank kept wishing he was given just one moment to be the love of his life even though he knew it was very wrong. Frank got greedier and approached Rachel at her Chambers.
I've known you since we were kids but I know you don't know me, I just wanted to tell you that I've always loved you.

Rachel couldn't resist him, she finally saw him up close and saying the words she had craved so much to hear from her husband. She threw herself at Frank and they made love with each other.
They both chatted for long and found that they were a perfect match as they could feel the chemistry and charm between them. They both knew they were wrong but they couldn't stop seeing each other and spend time with each other.
The Emperor was too busy to notice any change from his wife as she also made sure to see him at his bedroom every night. Rachel felt the most happy at that moment, having a man who loved and cherished her, and a husband who provided for all her needs.
Frank didn't crave for more than just having Rachel to himself during the day when the Emperor is busy with other things. They continued their own hidden love story and they were both fine with it.
Being the Emperor's wife meant no escape from him until death, Rachel thought she could just keep her affairs with the butler a secret till she dies. She didn't care about the future, she just wanted to be happy and Frank was giving her the happiness.
Two years later, the Emperor died and Rachel was made to choose a new husband who would rule them.. They trusted her judgement and she chose Frank who was so happy he would finally be open with their affairs.
They got married and Rachel gave birth to their son who grew up to be so handsome like his father. What Rachel never knew was that Frank got greedier and killed the Emperor to take over.
