Karen, a girl in her early teens got involved in a car accident and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. She had gotten a deep cut in her head which required a quick surgery so the place could be sealed up before further damage.
Karen was placed on oxygen immediately she was admitted to the hospital and taken in for surgery while her family was contacted. Jude her boyfriend who heard the news, immediately arrived at the hospital and was acting really strange.
He yearned to see her and prayed that she survived the surgery. Nurses were seen moving around the place in a rush and the last one that came around, Jude held him by the collar and asked him if she was gonna be okay, the nurse got off the grip without saying a word.
Jude and Karen had been best friends since they were kids and grew into lovers when they began to mature. They were so into each other that when one of them is harmed, the other somehow feels it and would call to know what's wrong.
Karen's mom tried to console Jude because she knew how close they were. Karen was even closer to Jude than she was with her own parents. Jude just had to keep his cool till he got news about her operation.
When night drew nearer, Jude drifted off to sleep and somehow according to his reaction, he was crying in his sleep and mentioning Karen's name. He kept stretching his hands as if to hold her and kept muttering "please stay with me".
When he eventually woke up from his sleep, he was drenched in sweat and then he remembered his dream. "How's Karen doing mom", he asked her mother who had her gaze fixed at him. With tears in her eyes, she stood up and asked him to go home but he kept asking her more questions. It was night and the whole place was quiet so she didn't want Jude to make any more fuss. She had to tell him the truth. "She didn't survive the surgery,'' she said and she slumped to the ground.
Jude just stared at her helplessly and walked out of the hospital. No one dared to stop him. The nurses who were on night shift hurriedly took the woman on the floor into the emergency room and attended to her while nobody cared to know what Jude was up to.
He walked home without looking back and somehow managed to climb up to his room without anyone noticing. When he got in through his window, he opened his drawer and got out a pen and his journal and on it he put down a few words and left it on his bed for whoever cared to read it.
After writing the note, Jude committed suicide by hittting his head on his window till the glass broke into pieces and pierced through into his head. He didn't stop till he knew he had enough pieces in his head then he fell on the ground and bled to death.
In the morning, his mom decided to go to his room to get out his laundry when she found his body on the floor covered in his own blood. She couldn't scream or cry. She just stood there like a hypnotized person, then his sister walked in and picked up the note from the bed reading it out loud. It said; I'm so sorry mom but I'm really broken! I have to go meet Karen in the great beyond, she really needs me
His mother and sister mourned for him while Karen's parents mourned for their daughter. His mom got unconscious for days, in all her life she had never seen his kind of love. Karen and Jude were later buried side by side in a cemetery on the same day.

Karen, una chica en su adolescencia, tuvo un accidente de coche y fue llevada al hospital para ser tratada. Se había hecho un corte profundo en la cabeza que requería una operación rápida para poder sellar el lugar antes de que se produjeran más daños.
Karen fue conectada a oxígeno inmediatamente después de ser admitida en el hospital y llevada a cirugía mientras su familia era contactada. Jude, su novio, que se enteró de la noticia, llegó inmediatamente al hospital y se mostró muy extraño.
Ansiaba verla y rezaba para que sobreviviera a la operación. Se vio a las enfermeras moverse con prisa por el lugar y a la última que se acercó, Jude la agarró por el cuello y le preguntó si iba a estar bien, la enfermera se soltó sin decir una palabra.
Jude y Karen habían sido los mejores amigos desde que eran niños y se convirtieron en amantes cuando empezaron a madurar. Estaban tan compenetrados que cuando uno de ellos se hacía daño, el otro lo sentía de alguna manera y llamaba para saber qué le pasaba.
La madre de Karen intentó consolar a Jude porque sabía lo unidas que estaban. Karen era incluso más cercana a Jude que a sus propios padres. Jude sólo tenía que mantener la calma hasta tener noticias sobre su operación.
Cuando se acercó la noche, Jude se quedó dormido y, de alguna manera, según su reacción, lloraba en sueños y mencionaba el nombre de Karen. Seguía estirando las manos como para abrazarla y murmuraba "por favor, quédate conmigo".
Cuando finalmente despertó de su sueño, estaba empapado de sudor y entonces recordó su sueño. "¿Cómo está Karen, mamá?", le preguntó a su madre, que tenía la mirada fija en él. Con lágrimas en los ojos, ella se levantó y le pidió que se fuera a su casa pero él seguía preguntándole más cosas. Era de noche y todo el lugar estaba tranquilo así que no quería que Jude armara más escándalo. Tenía que decirle la verdad. "No sobrevivió a la operación", dijo y se desplomó en el suelo.
Jude se limitó a mirarla con impotencia y salió del hospital. Nadie se atrevió a detenerlo. Las enfermeras del turno de noche se apresuraron a llevar a la mujer de la planta a la sala de urgencias y la atendieron mientras nadie se preocupaba por saber qué hacía Jude.
Caminó hasta su casa sin mirar atrás y, de alguna manera, se las arregló para subir a su habitación sin que nadie se diera cuenta. Cuando entró por su ventana, abrió su cajón y sacó un bolígrafo y su diario y en él puso unas palabras y lo dejó sobre su cama para quien quisiera leerlo.
Después de escribir la nota, Jude se suicidó golpeando su cabeza contra la ventana hasta que el cristal se rompió en pedazos y le atravesó la cabeza. No se detuvo hasta que supo que tenía suficientes trozos en la cabeza y entonces cayó al suelo y se desangró.
Por la mañana, su madre decidió ir a su habitación para sacar la ropa sucia cuando encontró su cuerpo en el suelo cubierto de su propia sangre. No pudo gritar ni llorar. Se quedó allí como una persona hipnotizada, entonces su hermana entró y recogió la nota de la cama leyéndola en voz alta. Decía: ¡Lo siento mucho mamá, pero estoy realmente destrozada! Tengo que ir a encontrarme con Karen en el más allá, me necesita de verdad.
Su madre y su hermana lloraron por él, mientras los padres de Karen lloraban por su hija. Su madre estuvo inconsciente durante días, en toda su vida nunca había visto su clase de amor. Más tarde, Karen y Jude fueron enterrados uno al lado del otro en un cementerioStrikethrough el mismo día.
