A short little 'daily journal' vlog. I am rather happy with my meyer lemon this year. I think I've finally got the routine down to get a good crop on the little tree indoors.
What I did was, come early Summer (early June) when I knew the nights were a bit warmer, I put it out in my sunny garden by my kitchen. This side of the house is free of the heavy seaside winds so not as much fear of tipping or breaking branches. I took it in and out (in at night) for a week.
Then put it out and let it go. Now it had already begun to flower about March, so I took those off so it could start outdoors and it did. It grew out more new leaves and set new bud. The scent was lovely all Summer.
Then come late September I would take it in each night last week sept, into early oct and back out in the warm days. Then by oct mid month she was in the plant room for good, at this point her fruit had come on in the Summer and was still green.
Since then, after Thanksgiving in November, the yellowing began and now the fruit is getting on so nicely. I really wanted a fresh lemon for our Christmas day gin, so to celebrate with our small fmaily gathering I was able to share a slice of my own dear lemon on Christmas day in our cocktails.
I am definitely going to add an orange this year.

Thank you so much @thesobuz
Impressive number of lemons on that tiny little tree! Is it okay fruiting that much when it's so little? :O
