Greetings to all and sundry on this great platform, I welcome you all to my blog and today I write to participate in this week's Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge. I am thrilled to be part of the Splinterlands family. I hope that you guys would like my entry. Without much ado, I would like to go straight to the purpose of this post. This week we have a new topic where users are encouraged to write and share ways to use or demystify the tactics summoners in battles. I would submit my entry to that here in this post.
First, a new player must learn and adapt to the abilities that all these new summoners come with. Knowing how to select your team when facing your opponent is very important. In this post, I will share a battle where I used the NOMOS summoner and won in a very tight five rounds. It was a standard ruleset game and I chose the Fire Deck Units and NOMOS as my summoner as indicated earlier. My opponent came in with the OBSIDIAN summoner and with six monsters.
My team lineups were as follows.; Ulundin Overseer, Forgotten One, Torch Vizier, Baron Fyatt, Djinn Inferni, and the Tenyii Striker monster. In using the NOMOS summoner, one can choose between reducing two units' magic attacks or using the Dispel ability to two units. I chose the Dispel ability option and I gave it to the Forgotten One and the Tenyii Striker monsters.
At the start of the battle, I saw myself losing the battle because my monster was the first to be eliminated. However, the Baron Fyatt monster helped my team a lot because it was able to reduce the attacks on my opponent's units a lot. This was a plus to me indeed. At the end of the third round, I had five monsters while my opponent got four.
At the end of the fifth round, I had three monsters left which I was amazed by. I think my strategy worked as planned and I am glad to win the battle. The NOMOS's abilities are great and I am hoping to have more than one tactics summoner in the future.
