🔥 Splinterlands Match Experience A Great Victory Over a Tough Opponent!

in Splinterlands17 hours ago (edited)

Today's Splinterlands match was really special for me. Not only because of the tough opponent I played against, but also because of the card combinations I chose, the right strategy, and every decision I made from the beginning to the end of the game—all of it made the match really amazing. And when the words “VICTORY!” flashed on the screen at the end, it was hard to put into words the feeling. In this blog, I shared the entire match experience with you in simple terms.

🔰 My Main Card Selection in Battle

Before the match, I quickly organized my team by looking at the battle ruleset and mana cap. Mana was limited, so I had to choose cards strategically. The first card that caught my eye in my team was KATRELBA GOBSON — you have seen the picture of this card. It plays a big role in the match due to its low mana cost, great attack power, and multiple abilities.

KATRELBA's

2 Melee Attacks

2 Speed

3 Health

and Sneak + Double Strike type attack abilities

These help to hit the enemy's backline multiple times.

Such a card makes its presence known very rarely.

🛡️ My entire team combination

My team had—

1000503165.jpg

Tank Monster: Powerful Lion-type monster (high health + shield)

Magic Unit: Elf character whose magic attack penetrates the enemy's armor

Sneak Attacker: KATRELBA GOBSON

Support / Healer: Heroic Kitty type monster in the final row (cat-like card on the screen)

And my support cards included an attack buffer and a shield supporter.

The entire team was arranged in such a way that the front line could survive and the back line could gradually break the enemy's backline.

⚔️ Opponent Team Analysis

The opponent “PASTYDURIN” also came up with a great setup. His team had—

A very strong Tank (11+ Health + Armor)

A fire card with 12 health on both sides

A high-speed ranged attacker

A Sneak card

And some magic units

Looking at opponents team, it seemed like match would be tough at first. Especially since his tank is very strong it is not easy break in the first round.

🔥 Match Start First Round Excitement

1000502664.jpg

As soon as the match started, the opponent's front monster took the first hit. My Lion-like tank survived the first round well due to its high health. On the other hand, my KATRELBA sneaked Double Strike from the backline and quickly weakened the opponent's last-row monster.

In the first round, I realized 👉 My Sneak attack would turn the match.

⚡ Round 2 and 3 Magic and Sneak Combo

In the second round, my magic attacker continues to penetrate the opponent's armor. The power of magic attack is that it can never stop armor, it directly damages health. That's why the opponent's tank gradually weakens.

Meanwhile, KATRELBA's Double Strike completely destroys the opponent's backline. Both the opponent's healer and buffer fall to my card's sneak attack. This increases my advantage even more.

🧩 Round 4 My team's stability

By the fourth round, it becomes clear— ➡️ My front tank is still alive ➡️ The opponent's tank is running out ➡️ The main cards in their backline are gone

From now on, the match is just a matter of time.

My healer/support card keeps my tank alive, and the rest of the opponent's cards start to lose one by one.

🏆 Last Round Sure Win

In the last round, my KATRELBA and magic unit attacks became so strong that the opponent's last surviving cards easily fell apart. And then the screen flashed—

VICTORY!

I got

+40 Rating

+138

0.462 SPS Token

As my rating increased, I rose to Silver II, which made the match even more valuable.

📌 Key Lessons of the Match

I learned a few important things from this match:

1️⃣ Sneak + Double Strike = Backline Destruction

KATRELBA GOBSON proved that using the right character in the right place can yield great results.

2️⃣ Having a strong tank is essential

As long as the tank survives, the attacks from the back have a chance to work.

3️⃣ Magic units penetrate armor

Regardless of the opponent's armor, magic attacks directly reduce health — which played a tremendous role in the match.

4️⃣ Card selection must be balanced

Choosing a strong combination with low mana ensures half of the match victory.

🎉 My feelings Link This match is a truly special experience for me. Especially when such a strong opponent can be defeated with strategy game becomes more fun. Splinterlands is not just a game luck—it is a full-fledged strategic battle system where every monster every decision paves way for victory.

My teamwork, card combinations, and accurate analysis really worked in today's match. I want to win such a difficult battle by creating a better team in the future.
