The Dreadful low rank high mana match up.

in Splinterlands4 years ago

There's one comp that you know your opponent will use when you see high mana battle. It's the Dreaded Light summoner Tyrus Paladium. I called the hook and lateral and misdirection of sorts of splinterlands. It's difficult to deal with if you are a beginner; especially if you are only using starter cards.
The Line up
At the Helm: Tyrus Paladium
Who give your monster +1 Shield. This will ensure that all you back line will survive at least for one turn.

The Core cast, usually suspects.
At Center is Silvershield Knight. He has high speed and high HP will allow him out last your opponent's front monster and his Inspire will allow your back line to deal extra damage, which is key to taking out your opponent's backline fast.

In your blindside is Shieldbearer aka your meatball, the misdirection. He has 9 HP, 5 shield and his taunt will have all your opponents monsters focused on him. He will survive the first turn for sure, while your back line will either take out your opponent's last monster or weaker monster in the middle. He can be placed in the Front, the second or even third position. Second or third will allow him to take 1 less attack or 2 if your opponent has reach on the second position.

The support Divine Healer. He has 1 JOB!! That is to keep the Front monster alive for 2 to 3 turns. He can be placed in the back or the 3rd position since your opponent will be focused on the shield bearer.

Your backline Feral Spirit and Elven Cutthroat will be sneaking at your opponent's REAR. They are both relatively high speed but low HP but since the Shield Bearer will soak up all the damage and they have +1 shield to last a couple of turns. These two are essentially there to ram up your opponents rear.

This lineup is often used in lower ranks in high mana matches. It's dreadful to face against this comp for beginners. You know what they say, you can't beat them join them.
