Today, I will share with you guys a battle that is sure to turn some heads toward this combination of monsters I use that covers most of the strategies that players use today.

Without further ado, let's begin!

Battle Conditions

The mana cap was 60 and there are 5 summoners to choose from: Fire, Water, Nature, Death, and Dragon. I of course sided with the dark side since I had some of the most awesome monsters that people should use for such high mana battles.

Battle Rules:-

  • Are You Not Entertained? : One additional Gladiator Monster may be used in battle.
  • Stampede: Monsters with Trample ability may trigger it multiple times per attack if the trampled monster is killed.
  • Heavy Hitters: All monsters have the Knockout Ability.

Battle Details

Let's start from my side:

Summoner: Thaddius Brood(Ability: Decrease in Hp and Magic damage by 1 for all enemy attackers)(Level 5)

Tank: Cursed Windeku(Ability: Thorns, Self-heal).

Melee Attacker: Arachne Thug(Ability: Reach, Trample).

Blocked Melee Attacker: Night Ghoul(Ability: Taunt).

Magic Attacker: Kain Hace(Ability: Blast, Reflection Shield).

Ranged Attackers: Dhampir Stalker(Ability: True strike, Deathblow), Liza Fox(Ability: Bloodlust).

My strategy was to divert all attention to my Ghoul while the rest of the monsters would attack their tank and push through his lines, I used Windeku in the front since he could self-heal and had thorns to return some damage to the melee attackers. I made use of Kain Hace by putting him in the center of my deck, that way, it could negate the amount of damage received by potential blast ability monsters.
I placed Liza Fox in the end since she had the bloodlust ability. If it could trigger even once, it could instantly have the highest damage and speed in my monster lineup. Lastly, Dhampir was a great insurance against constant and consistent damage to the tank even if Liza failed to hit her mark. That way, the overall damage received would be diverted to a single point while everyone else would attack to their heart's content.

My overall damage per round is 17. Adding in the damage from thorns and blast and self-heal, it comes to 21 damage and a heal of 3. If bloodlust gets triggered, the overall damage increases by 1. If the last monster in his deck remains, the damage increases to 27(without a bloodlust trigger).

Now, for the opposition:

Summoner: Keyla Frendrul(Ability: Increase in Speed and Shield by 1 for all ally monsters)(Level 1)

Tank: Diemonshark(Ability: Trample).

Magic Attackers: Oshanuus(Ability: Void), Nerissa Tridawn(No Ability), Venari Wavesmith(Ability: Protect).

Ranged Attackers: Axe Master(Ability: Double Strike), Naga Windmaster(Ability: Headwinds).

His strategy was also to attack me from the front. His main idea was to use his tank's extremely high shield and HP to draw out the battle longer. That way, all the other monsters were free to attack my tank however they wished. Wavesmith was there to further increase everyone's shield by 2 and thus ensured that they would have a long drawn-out battle. Naga was there to reduce the overall damage of all ranged attackers since he expected his opposition to use at least 1 ranged attacker.

His overall damage per round was 13 damage with an extra 12 shields and a reduction of all ranged attackers' damage by 1.

Major Events

Round 2

Screenshot (789).png

The first monster to fall was his Diemonshark. My tank was only grazed but my Ghoul was not in good shape.

Screenshot (790).png

Soon after, Ghoul followed the Shark as Nerissa delivered the final blow. This evened the odds for him.

Screenshot (791).png

It did not take much time to fell his Oshanuus thanks to Dhampir Stalker and thus the tables were turned in my favor.

And, just before the end of the second round, Kain Hace eliminates his Wavesmith thanks to the blast ability.

Round 3

Screenshot (793).png

In the first half of the 3rd round, Nerissa was taken down by Liza and she triggered her first bloodlust.

Screenshot (794).png

The odds increased as Kain Hace deleted another monster in the back line thanks to the blast ability.

Round 4

And finally, Naga was taken out by Liza again and thus triggered her bloodlust again.

Results

There was a clear difference in damage and the fact that I had a healing factor completely changed the game's tide. Moreover, my tank could self-heal thanks to Ghoul* sucking in all the damage, thus everyone else was able to smoothly damage and eliminate his numbers one by one from the front. Amazingly, Ghoul could be used as a punching bag while the others were used as a tactical eliminator.

And thus ended the super easy game in the Gold II Lobby.
