Hello, I am curious what advice the veterans here would give to a newby? I am new and liking the game so far. There is a lot to learn tho. And I feel that it would be great to get some direction not just for myself, but others coming after me.
What is the best ways to grind out some cards and get a foundational collection going?
Power up and get to where we can fight in events with some success?
Early focus for growth?
Rent some good cards for cheap, play low league tournaments, join the Discord and start chatting and networking and continue creating content on HIVE for Splinterlands, to earn those juicy HIVE and SPT tokens.
I will have to look into renting, im still trying to farm enough dec to do much. I was trying to start f2p. Looks like buying is a bit involved. Via website, but may need to dip in a bit to get started. Ill need to see how to buy via
Bsc, and eth
I wouldn't count on any dips in card prices any time soon. We are growing faster each day. Renting a decent legendary card is available under 10 DEC a day. You can earn that with a win even on lower leagues. Make plan what you want to play or just go with the daily quest splinter and rent some of that each day. You will easily make more than you spend when you play it right.
What would you suggest for farming dec? I am getting less that 2 dec per fight. Are there other ways? Or is there a way to make more per fight? I only have about 50 so far, but it looks like i get multipliers for gold foils, wins streaks, and a few other things.
When you get 2x ranking points, your DEC rewards grow 4x. So try to move up the ladder, it is worth every point.
I would recommend focusing on Alric and Malric first (since they are f2p)

STOPI am now in silver 2 rank and the dec is coming much quicker. Starting to get the hang of strategy and using the buff/debuffs.
Grabbing a few packs and singles helped immensely once i knew what things did.
