I often play water, partly cause I love my golden alpine skink, and often it works out really well for my Meeradali Guardian to be healing things and it only costs 3 mana so most of the time I can afford to have her in.
This fight though, she was my mvp.
So 20 mana, armour for everyone. I was experimenting with not using my golden skink, not sure why.
Seeing my opponent I was a bit worried since magic doesn't care about armour, and that last guy has way to much health armour. Even without the boost that's 8 armour.
After round one, I was really worried. I'd only just taken out the armour and done a little health damage to the their tank. However, my sneaky bandit was doing his job. I love having sneaky dudes around to take out weaklings in the back. Which given the 3 magic damage the psychic goblin can do is good.
Round 3, and my pour flying octopus is not doing great, but the healing is keeping them alive, and the bandit is whittling away the goblins health.
And now I'm convinced I'm gonna lose, buuuut then I realize something. There back dude with all the armour and health can't do squat until the refugee goes down, and neither of them do more damage then my mermaid can heal.
9 rounds of my Meeradali Guardian getting smacked, healing and those two whittling away health and armour and I win.
It was silly. But I am proud of the win cause it partly happened due to my choice of having the bandit around.

The water splinter is one of the best thanks to the Chaos Legion set and Merdaali Guardian is a great card!
I am always torn between fire and water. I have better cards for water, between the Merdaali Guardian, having a gold foil Alpine skink and such, but I love so many of the creatures in fire. Antoids and a lava spider are just awesome artwork wise.
It's def gonna be a period of adjustment when conclave comes out and chaos legion is no longer playable in modern.
