I thought this Christmassy Chaos Golem by @mario02 was fun.
Hi everyone!
This is actually my second time writing this post. I wrote up at least half of it a week ago, but didn't finish it in one sitting... and then my computer rebooted and I lost it all... but then, all the things have changed with Avatars and the new conflict card and the new Exclusive card and it's all... a lot.
Will I finish this draft or will I lose it? I guess if you're reading this sentence then I was successful in my quest. Go me.

It's amazing to see all my wins and loses throughout the game types. I've played every single one of those games manually, those are ridiculous numbers.
I haven't created my Exemplar yet... it's a bit overwhelming to tackle and I think I need to see what type of scenarios it is going to be played in to see what I need. I did have a quick look at the available skills, and all the healing skills I'd want to take are not available, which is... fair enough.
We're just a few days out from the current conflict finalizing and I'm likely to get 9 copies... but I'll need to find a way to get an extra 2 copies to max it out...
Since I try to get into Champs III each season, I can't really afford to play a non-maxed out card.
I don't currently have a plan on how I'm going to purchase the remaining two conflict cards that I need.
I am only just going to have enough resources to repair the 9 wagons that I'll need to replace for Captain Frankie:
After which I'll be wiped out.
I did manage to use some of my surplus Aura to sell 10 Legendary Unbinding Scrolls for $1.74, which I was able to use the DEC to buy more resources... the thing is, the demand for Unbinding Scrolls has to dry up at some point as the people who want to buy the reward legendary cards will have done so already.
The good news is that two new resources; Polymorph Potion and Capacity Flux have been created to help people change their Avatar and Exemplars that are also Aura-only to craft... but again, I imagine demand would drop off pretty quickly once people are happy with their Avatars and Exemplars.
I'm excited to see the two new resources have been added to https://land.spl-stats.com/resource/conversion and you can see that they are currently a valuable way for me to use my Aura to trade for DEC:

Charge and Trample is going to get very messy very quickly. Super excited to play with it. I love a good charge, especially with these friends...
We're in for some wild times.
I currently have enough vouchers to buy the new Cloveria Morth'lana Exclusive card:
This card breaks my head a little bit... recharge with double strike with ambush? Can this card wipe out most of your opponents before the game even starts... or does the ambush mean that the recharge recharges before the first turn and then unleashes in the first turn? No idea, but it feels like a must have card.
I'm currently undecided on how to get this card. I could just buy it with vouchers.
It'll cost 11,500 vouchers to max out... which is worth 525,924.13 DEC ($315 USD).
The alternative is to wait 55 days and enter the Gold Foil Arcane draw instead...
So 46 Fortune Tickets will get my 46 regular foil cards to max it out.
46 Fortune tix cost 9200 Aura, 460 vouchers, 9200 DEC (also 9200 = 230 vouchers).
9200 DEC is $5.5 + 460 vouchers (=18348 DEC = $11 USD)
So... get it now and spend $315 worth of vouchers, or wait 55 days and spend $16.5 (I'm not pricing the Aura) with the chance to win a Gold Foil Arcane (which is a pretty low chance, I'm sure most other people would enter hundreds of tickets).
I guess I'll see if this card really starts to ruin my life in battle, and jump on if I need to.
As with everything in Splinterlands... it's all a lot cheaper if you just wait.

Once again I could just not hold onto a Top 10 spot. There is so much movement in the last couple of hours, which usually occurs while I'm sleeping... but it's also really hard, competition is fierce.
I came in at 11th, which gave me a lovely 150K Glint reward.

So I started the season with 2,831K Glint and ended with 3,526K... so grabbed myself 695K during the season, which is about half of what I'll spend.

I leveled up the first 3 cards in the first row and you can see the shiny new GF card... I didn't realize this (or I knew but forgot) but the GF cards are automatically unbound. So I can try to sell it for $8 or burn for 12,500 Glint. Since it now doesn't cost me anything to unbind it, I'm gonna try sell it:
I'm genuinely excited the GF are unbound... that really removes the quandary I had about spending a ton of DEC to unlock, without any real guarantee there was any demand for the cards.
I still have a few Rebellion GF cards that I haven't done anything with... because this is the cost:
There's none for sale so absolutely no idea if I could make that unbinding money back or not. The automatic unboundingness takes away that gamble.

I leveled up 2 cards... my last Level 6 to Level 7 and my first Level 7 to Level 8 (of 10). Great progress.

I haven't been able to use all my energy for a few seasons now, but I think I'm still progressing pretty well. I still don't know how I'm going to buy up the missing Conflicts cards I'll need. Selling the reward GFs won't get me what I need. I'll have to figure something out.
