Thaddius Brood vs. Obsidian
This is a 33 mana battle with a standard ruleset where no special rules will apply. I have noticed that my opponent kept on using the earth deck from the previous matches opting to go with the Obsidian summoner. that gives a plus one magic damage With this knowledge in hand, I decided to counter by choosing Thaddius Brood. This summoner from the dark splinter reduces magic damage by one completely negating the enemy summoner and on top of that reduces all enemy monster life points by 1 as well.

The Lineup
My first position tank is the Cursed Windeku great against other melee attacks due to its thorns ability, on second position is the Silent Sha-vi it works as a great off tank due to its decent HP. and can deal great damage in the backlines with its sneak ability, another sneak attack mosnter in my lineup is the Undead Badger which is quite speedy , my magic damage would come from the Life Sapper it is well protected in the fourth position and can act as a late game damage soaker due to its life leech ability, Mantoid with the snipe abiilty will deal 2 ranged damage every round , and to complete my lineup is the Dhampir Stalker, with the true strike ability its attacks won't miss.
The opponent has chosen the Unicorn Mustang as their primary tank with the void ability will reduce incoming magic damage, the Regal Peryton is a solid choice with high hp high speed as well as the flying ability making it more difficult to hit, the Goblin Psychich has the tank heal ability useful support ability for the first position summons, Venari Spellsmithwith the dispel ability wont only deal magic damage but also debuff the monster it hits, completing the lineup are the Elven Mystic and Khmer Princess which would deal magic damage from the backlines.
Round 1
The earlier turns saw exchange in attacks. Both the first position tanks have been reduced to 5 health equally. By the 8th turn of the first round the silent sha-vi connected an attack to the khmer princess removing it from play.
Round 2
Round 2 starts with my cursed windeku down to 1 health. It was quite ineffective in this match as most of the damage is coming from magic attacks. The regal peryton also did not recieved any damage from the mantoid as it was evaded. The elven mystic is also down to 1 health with the undead badgers attack connecting from the previous round.
Right at the opening turn the regal peryton attacked first and connected to the cursed windeku removing it from play. My silent badger will move up to the first position.
On Turn 4 of the second round the silent badger took huge damage from the unicorn mustang. Good thing is that the silent badger was able to take out the khmer princess reducing the damage output from the enemy team. At this point the life sapper is still being ineffective as it could not get any life drain health points as long as the unicorn mustang is alive.
The ninth turn is a pivotal one given that Dhampir Stalkers attack was able to eliminate the unicorn mustang from play. This happened before the goblin psychic could heal him. The regal pertyon will move to first position now. And with my silent sha-vi down to 1 health no clear advantage can be seen for any of the parties.
I gained a slight advantage on the eleventh turn of this round. The mantoids attack connected to the goblin psychic sending it to the graveyard and removing a critical support monster. Currently the monster count is 4 v2
Round 3
Any advantage I had from the previous round was quickly gone with the regal peryton attacking first and removing the silent shavi from the contest. It is down to the wire with only 4 and 2 monsters left respectively. While I did manage to counter the summoner the lineup of this earth deck is still strong.
Immediately after the undead badgers attack missed on the regal peryton. It was then eliminated by the Venari Spellsmith. Fortunately the life sappers attack following right after this exchange put me in quite of a good spot as it was able to leech 1 health point from the regal peryton.
By the 9th turn on the third round. Just before the round ends. My Dhampir Stalker connected a huge attack on the regal peryton dropping it down to just 1 hp. The true strike ability has proven to be very useful against this high speed and even flying monsters. To top it off the mantoid was also able to kill the venari spellsmith.
Round 4
With the life sapper and its ability to drain health from opposing monsters there's no way I would lose any more in my lineup. The regal peryton will not deal enough damage to eliminate my first position and at the same time, is down to its last health and all that's left is for my monster to deal the killing blow in this round delivered by the life sapper.
