I think Splinterlans still continues to flood the market (even if not yet for Souldbound) with cards (they even want to do a 2M miniseries until Rebellion). This will abruptly devalue them and make users seek other games.

Yeah, the new player inflow hasn't been anywhere close to the flood of cards and what's coming. This said, I do believe there will be a big supply shock at some point. They do need to get the prices of cards up as it makes no sense to buy expensive packs (at least for those that care about money) when you can get way cheaper cards on the market. Right now there is just a massive difference between supply > demand which also shows in the rental market.
If there is another boom and adoption Cycles, the best thing to do likely is to take big profit or get out completely. It kind of sucks because I love the game but not to the extent that I would give up a lot of profit to keep playing.
